Persevering in the Path of Salvation
Positive Christianity Series Episode #251
GOD Almighty creates us so that we can worship GOD Almighty for all eternity in Shabbath Millennium and New Jerusalem. While there is temptation and persecution that attempt to discourage our zealous faith in GOD Almighty, we can persevere trusting in GOD Almighty having zealous fidelity. This wisdom prevents us from believing the temporary lies of the snake that wants to ensnare into the practice of idol worship and vices.
"The path of life leads upward for the prudent, that he may turn away from Sheol beneath."- Proverbs 15: 24
The Parable of the Sower describes that when we keep zealous faith in GOD Almighty, we can persevere despite discouragements, opposition, and persecution. GOD Almighty is eternally faithful and allows to know that He guards us from the temporary lies, deceit, and temptations of the snake. We learn that prayer is important in the life of a Christian because GOD Almighty listens to our prayers and delivers us from the envy of the snake. We can go to prayer each day and persevere acknowledging the importance of GOD Almighty in our lives.
"The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous."- Proverbs 15: 29
We learn that GOD Almighty listens to our prayers seen in the stories of Elijah and Hezekiah. We learn that Elijah prays to GOD Almighty and is delivered from persecution and opposition from idolators and false prophets. We learn that Hezekiah also prays to GOD Almighty and is delivered from envy and intimidation of Sennacherib and the Rabshakeh. GOD Almighty does not forsake Hezekiah and Isaiah.
Instead of Sennacherib being able to attack Hezekiah, GOD Almighty destroys Sennacherib and Assyria's army because of Sennacherib's folly. GOD Almighty had allowed Sennacherib to attack the idolatrous nations, but not the righteous. Sennacherib had folly and was destroyed for his arrogance. GOD Almighty listens to Hezekiah's prayer and destroys Sennacherib. We learn that Sennacherib was destroyed while worshiping idols in an idol temple by his own children describing how idol worship does not help anyone. We learn that Hezekiah persevered worshiping GOD Almighty and everything that Hezekiah accomplished was impressive because of his fidelity to GOD Almighty. We learn to persevere worshiping GOD Almighty above everything of the temporary world and also by going to prayer each day.
