Denying Temptation (Fame)

 Denying Temptation (Fame)

Positive Christianity Series Episode #334

GOD Almighty allows us to understand that we do not need to practice sin, idol worship, deceit, and envy to persevere in the path of eternal salvation. The practice of sin and idol worship wants to lead farther and farther from the favor and blessings that exist in the worship of GOD Almighty. We can accept correction and reproof acknowledging that speaking deceit and having envy do not help anyone. Instead of promoting the practice of sin and idol worship, we can persevere practicing truth, wisdom, integrity, and morality. We are able to persevere in the path of eternal salvation (Proverbs 12: 28).

"Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit."- Proverbs 12: 17

The story of Jimmy Hendrix describes that the rock and roll lifestyle does not help individuals because it is idol worship. We learn that instead of speaking lies, worshiping something that does not merit the worship, and promoting illicit drug use, we preach and sing to the living GOD of gods. We can choose to sing about keeping fidelity to GOD Almighty instead of speaking temporary lies. Jimmy Hendrix was deceived into speaking lies and promoting illicit drugs, lust, alcoholism, and idol worship in his music.  Jimmy Hendrix was a talented singer and guitarist who used LSD and decided to use his talents for the promotion of drug use, fornication, adultery, alcoholism, and idolatrous music. Jimmy Hendrix was the American rock and roll artist of the 1960s. Hendrix's music promoted LSD along with other illicit drugs. LSD can cause negative emotions such as anger, envy, hate, and bitterness. LSD can even lead to madness and schizophrenia. Jimmy Hendrix also promoted lust and fornication in his music.

"The righteous chooses his friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray."- Proverbs 12: 26

Jimmy Hendrix was one of the most talented musicians of the 1960s in America. He was African American and was one of the few musicians that could sing and also solo on the guitar at the same time. His music was idolatrous, yet he was talented being able to sing and also solo at the same time which is not something that is common. There are only a few rock and roll musicians who could sing and solo at the same time (Jeff Buckley was another talented rock and roll musician who could sing and solo with amazing talent.) The fame and fortune that Jimmy Hendrix obtained caused him to be led to making idolatrous music (psychedelic rock speaks about LSD use, lust, and "pacifism" yet tries to lead to hate and anger. There is much better music). Hendrix promoted deceit by making lyrics about drug use and lust. Hendrix would play at different music festivals in the 1960s that had the intention to introduce envy, hate, lust, and indiscipline to others to lead to drug use and alcoholism. While being one of the top rock and roll artists, he was probably envied by other socialists for being African American and a top musician. Jimmy Hendrix probably had false "friends" that were socialists and envied his talents. In the 1960s, there was racism and most likely he was envied by other socialists, musicians, or fans (maybe even adultresses) for headlining and also being the top American band of the 1960s.

Jimmy Hendrix died of a supposed drug overdose in his late 20s while being a top musician. It is unknown if he did overdose or if he was envied by socialists. The story of Jimmy Hendrix describes that we do not need fame, stagflated currency, nor false "friends" because that can lead to idol worship and destruction. We prefer to worship GOD Almighty and be far apart from rat snake socialists who envy other people's talents (Hendrix was envied probably both because of his talent and also because of his race by idolators). Despite acknowledging that Hendrix was talented, the socialists still wanted to get rid of him probably because he was well received and admired for his talents. Hendrix promoted LSD use and idol worship and was still hated and envied by socialists. Fake phonies envy and resent others for being unique and distinct. We can choose to be far apart from fake phonies who are socialists. While his music was idolatrous (we should avoid idolatrous music), he was talented on both the guitar and singing. Singing and soloing on the guitar is not easy and not common. We can persevere without envy and also be grateful for being far apart from false individuals that hate individuality and uniqueness. We can persevere obeying the commandments of Moses and persist being far apart from deceitful and treacherous socialists. (The envious socialists got rid of their top rock and roll musician that promoted LSD and idol worship in the 1960s, and top actor James Dean in the 1950s because of envy. Jeff Buckley was probably also removed for knowing how to sing and solo at the same time despite being idolatrous. So avoid socialist rat snakes.)

Learning Hebrew

Dabar, דבר, means word in Hebrew. We learn that GOD Almighty instructs us to persevere with integrity and forsake deceit and envy. The Scriptures describe GOD Almighty's word and the need to keep fidelity to the GOD of gods. We prefer the Scriptures to the temporary lies of false doctrines, deceit, and idol worship. We choose to love GOD Almighty above everything and forsake lying books, music, movies, series, and propaganda. Instead we are guarded knowing that deceit wants to lead to idol worship and foolishness while the worship of GOD Almighty guards us from the temporary lies of the snake. The truth of Scripture sets us apart from the road of destruction and disintegrates the darkness and lies of socialism. We learn that we prefer wisdom to foolishness, integrity to deceit, and virtues and self-improvement to stagnation and vices. This understanding guards us from perdition in the practice of idol worship and envy.

Persevering With Motivation Amidst Not So Good Times

Enjoy Shabbath Rest! We can persevere keeping gratitude and fidelity to GOD Almighty. We can sing worship songs to GOD Almighty that allow us to worship our Creator and LORD. We can prefer to listen to and sing great worship songs instead of discouraging idolatrous music that has the intention to lead to ingratitude, unhappiness, envy, and idol worship. At the same time that we worship our Creator, we are also encouraged by positive lyrics and great music. I heard the Edwin Hawkins Singer band recently and found that the music is positive and encouraging. "Can Not Tell It All" describes how the singer had gone through adversity and opposition from the snake yet GOD Almighty helped her persevere worshiping GOD Almighty. "He is GOD Alone" also describes the appreciation that GOD Almighty is with us helping us persevere. We can choose encouraging music instead of bitter and discouraging music. In the great depression of 1929 it was described that individuals no longer listened to blues music because the times were not so positive. Individuals instead preferred encouraging music, and blues decreased in popularity. Blues was not a favorite genre. The blues has its roots in idolatrous music and has the intention to diminish an individuals self-confidence and motivation. We can persevere with motivation and confidence in King Jesus Christ.
