We learn from Genesis that Enoch was considered righteous by GOD Almighty. So much was the righteousness of Enoch, that Enoch did not go through physical death but instead was taken up to Heaven by GOD Almighty. We learn that there are only two individuals that do not see death in the Old Testament Scriptures. The other individual is Elijah, who is able to accomplish the purpose of GOD Almighty without doubting GOD Almighty. When GOD Almighty decides to tell Elijah to follow a purpose or to go speak to Ahab, Elijah does not doubt GOD Almighty's protection. For this, Elijah is considered righteous, and GOD Almighty shows us in Scripture that Elijah is protected by GOD Almighty in a similar manner that His faithful believers are protected.
The Book of Enoch tells us specific information that corresponds with the events of the Day of Judgment. For this, we are to understand that those events prophesied have similarities to the prophecies of Paul, Peter, Jude, John, the Prophets, and the words of King Jesus Christ. They attest to the absolute authority that GOD Almighty is giving King Jesus Christ to defeat His enemies and create a New Earth and a New Heavens. Enoch goes into detail about prophesies of events that GOD Almighty would redeem His people through parables and allegories that refer to the people of Israel. We learn that the nation would be oppressed on occasions but GOD Almighty would deliver them from the surrounding nations. We are able to learn that King Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Savior that is able to give the people of Israel and the world a hope for eternal life in the next life and a better life in this life.
We are able to see that Jude uses the Book of Enoch to reinforce the belief in the Day of Judgment that will allow us to understand the absolute and infinite power of King Jesus Christ over His Creation. We learn that the wicked will not be able to stand before the presence of GOD Almighty and will fall. Only the righteous will be able to stand before the presence of GOD Almighty seen in Revelation when John is allowed to stand and the servants of GOD Almighty are sealed and protected. We are reminded that GOD Almighty cares for His righteous servants and will not abandon them to the wicked. While the wicked have limited authority, they are being used with a purpose to test the wicked and to separate the righteous from the wicked.
“The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. And he took up his parable and said- Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by GOD, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from the I understood as I saw, but nor for this generation, but for a remote one which is to come. Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them:
The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling, and the eternal GOD will tread upon the earth, (even) on Mount Sinai, And appear from His camp And appear in the strength of His might from the heaven of heavens. And all shall be smitten with fear And the Watchers shall quake, and great fear and trembling shall seize them unto the ends of the earth. And the high mountains shall be shaken, And the high hills shall be made low, And shall melt like wax before the flame. And the earth shall be wholly rent in sunder, And all that is upon the earth shall perish, And there shall be a judgment upon all (men). But with the righteous He will make peace. And will protect the elect, And mercy shall be upon them. And they shall all belong to GOD, and they shall be prospered, And they shall all be blessed. And He will help them all, And light shall appear unto them, And He will make peace with them. And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones To execute judgment upon all, And to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh Of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed, And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” -The Book of Enoch 1.1-1.9
We learn that the Day of Judgment spoke of by Enoch is able to give us similar details to the details given in Revelation, Paul and Peter's letters, Jude, the Prophets, and the words of King Jesus Christ in the Gospel. We learn that these events would occur in a later generation. Enoch states that this is not for his generation being only the seventh from Adam as stated by Jude but being written for a future generation. The generation spoken about by Paul in 2 Timothy 3. While they are described as wicked, we know that there is always a remnant of believers that are protected by GOD Almighty. We learn that Enoch prophesies for the sake of the godly and true Christians.
During the Day of Judgment of GOD Almighty the wicked, the old earth, and the old heavens will be destroyed. We learn that the mountains and high hills will be shaken and laid low consistent with the details in Revelation. Everything that is in the earth shall perish. This means that like Peter states in 2 Peter 3 the earth is temporary until the Day of Judgment that GOD Almighty decides to destroy the earth. This is with the intention of judgment. GOD Almighty will be able to create a New Earth and a New Heaven once wickedness is destroyed, judgment occurs, and King Jesus Christ starts the thousand year reign on New Earth in New Jerusalem and then for all eternity in the New Heavens.
We also know that in Enoch, we are reminded that those who are righteous will have peace in GOD Almighty and GOD Almighty will give them peace. They are able to be at peace even through the events that are happening because GOD Almighty is their protection, shield, and sanctuary. GOD Almighty will show mercy to those that are considered part of the elect because the elect are His. The elect belong to GOD Almighty since their names were found in the book of Life from before the foundation of the world. The elect will be prospered and will receive blessings. This means that they multiply and add and have abundance even when there are difficulties because they relish in the presence of GOD Almighty. These individuals have peace. GOD Almighty will help the elect and will allow them to be like the light that GOD Almighty provides.
Once this occurs, Enoch states in Enoch 1.9 that GOD Almighty will “execute judgment upon all, And to destroy all the ungodly.” We learn that this is what Jude writes in the Letter of Jude. We can see that GOD Almighty will pronounce judgment on the wicked at the specified time that GOD Almighty has decided for this to take place. This is what GOD Almighty has reserved for the wicked. We learn that prophets, disciples, apostles, and believers in the Spirit of Truth either understand this, wrote about this, and are able to believe in faith that the Day of Judgment will happen in due time. King Jesus Christ arrived to earth for this reason to save us from our own sins and take the wrath that was destined for us and atone for our sins. For this, we have nothing to fear and only serve GOD Almighty day and night worshiping the King of kings and LORD of lords. For this, we know that those that are wicked are deciding to take the cup of wrath that King Jesus Christ already took for those that accept King Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior. For those that forsake GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth, they will experience the wrath of GOD Almighty in this life and in the next life.
This speaks to the GOD of Vengeance that we serve. GOD Almighty is able to provide justice to those that are righteous. GOD Almighty is giving grace during the time that is transpiring, but will carry out His prophecies to fulfillment.
