In the following episode of Resurrection Radio Podcast, we learn about the importance of the blessings that were given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob through their belief in GOD. We learn that the blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were conditional on them following the word of GOD. We can learn that GOD wants believers to receive blessings when they believe in GOD.

Abraham was able to follow what GOD stated and was blessed through multiple forms. Isaac also obeyed the word of GOD and was blessed. Jacob would follow the instructions of GOD and be able to obtain blessings. We learn that GOD is able to apportion good things to those who have faith and follow GOD’s Commandments.

There is also the understanding that GOD allowed for Israel to be a nation through Abraham and his lineage. We can see the continuation of the blessings to David and Jesus Christ. We see that GOD also allows Gentiles to be included in the blessings if they choose to accept Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior.

Episode: “The Blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob”

Introduction

Good afternoon! I am Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. The topic for today is going to be The Blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Now this topic has to do with the Book of Genesis where Scripture states that GOD Almighty had blessed Jacob based on the covenant that GOD made with Abraham. GOD found favor in Abraham because He saw that he was a righteous individual. Abraham was trying to do the right thing. GOD found favor in Abraham and decided to bless Abraham and his eternal descendants. This was conditional on Abraham and his descendants acting righteously before GOD Almighty which means obeying what GOD Almighty had stated for them to do. Although the Ten Commandments are not known at this time, they are introduced during the time of Moses. We do know that Abraham obeyed the word of GOD Almighty. We learn in a similar manner that King Jesus Christ was in the Spirit alive with GOD Almighty, even before He was born on earth. We know in a similar manner that the Ten Commandments are known but not by the descendants of Abraham yet. It seems that they are obeying GOD's commands which means doing the right thing and acting with justice and doing the correct things being moral and ethical according to GOD Almighty's word.

What Are Blessings from GOD Almighty

Whatever GOD Almighty tells them to follow, that is what they follow. Because of this, they have blessings. In the Book of Genesis, it seems that GOD Almighty would instruct them to do certain things and if they decided to obey GOD Almighty's word, it was considered good for the people who were obeying GOD Almighty. They were given blessings, abundance, and favor by GOD Almighty. So we begin to see that the blessings at first are spoken. They are spoken from GOD Almighty to Abraham. Then we see them become real when we see the eternal descendants of Abraham have prosperity through their belief and obeying the word of GOD Almighty. The possessions they begin to have, the families that they begin to have, and the righteousness that they begin to exhibit. Everything is a nurturing environment provided by GOD Almighty. That is what GOD Almighty's blessings are.

They not only receive material possession, but also that spiritual awareness that everything is at peace. Where there is peace, that is where GOD Almighty is. If there is no peace, GOD Almighty is not there. When we obey GOD Almighty's word, commandments, statutes, and Sabbaths, we have peace. When individuals do not obey GOD Almighty's word, commandments, statutes, and Sabbaths, there is no peace. In societies or nations that do not obey GOD Almighty, there is no peace in those societies. Wherever individuals do obey GOD Almighty's word, commandments, statutes, and Sabbaths, we know that there is peace.

We see that there is this peace towards Abraham and towards Abraham's family. Even when there is difficulty, even when there is opposition, GOD Almighty delivers them from difficulties. And GOD Almighty blesses them again for their belief. When we see that Lot and his possessions are taken, we see that Abraham acts at once to gather back whatever was taken and get it back from their enemies, and GOD Almighty blesses Abraham. And again the high priest, Melchizedek blesses Abraham and gives Abraham a feast of bread and wine which are a reminder of the New Testament of what Jesus Christ does in the Last Supper with the disciples. This is showing us that GOD Almighty is blessing multiple times these righteous individuals because of their faith and because of their belief and obeying the commandments of GOD Almighty.

So they are prospering and we are seeing that even Abraham begins to dig wells in the land where there is no water. This is to provide for people who are traveling through the land. It is not even just blessings for oneself, its blessings for everyone. Abraham truly is one of the forefathers of Israel not only because of the blessings that GOD Almighty gives to him which are good, but also the spiritual blessings that he gets to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Not only the land that Abraham was promised, not only the descendants that were going to be numerous, not only that he was going to have kings under his lineage, not only when he has two children, and providing the lineage for Jesus Christ, and receive the land of Canaan for his eternal descendants, and most important part is also that he receives the Kingdom of Heaven. King Jesus Christ states that in the New Testament that in Heaven are Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the prophets, and people who are believers. This talks about GOD Almighty's favor, abundance, and blessings all around. That is the beauty of it. It is not just the physical or material things, it is knowing that GOD Almighty is protecting and providing. This speaks about the manner that GOD Almighty is the GOD Almighty of Abraham and Sarah.  And of course, the Kingdom of Heaven, the most important thing that we want is to have the Kingdom of Heaven. This speaks about having eternal salvation because we decide to obey GOD Almighty.

Through this all, we are able to see that GOD Almighty gives favor to Abraham. Like I had said, it was not even blessings for him, it was blessings for everyone who interacted with him or anyone who was near to him, or anyone with whom he was with. We see that he digs wells in the region in order for people to have water. For him, for his properties, and his servants, and the flocks which were tended to, but also for sojourners and other individuals who were passing by. That they may also have water. Things like that. It was just abundance all around because of the righteousness of the individual. That is only one clear example of a righteous individual. There is this peace. Even when the world says that you have to be anxious, and you have to be a certain manner... No! You obey GOD Almighty. We read the word of GOD Almighty and we understand the blessings, abundance, and favor of GOD Almighty. And there are so many different blessings that GOD Almighty gives. Of course, they are not all material.

The Story of Jacob and Esau

As long as Israel maintains their belief in GOD Almighty and their faith in GOD Almighty, and obeys the Ten Commandments and does what GOD commands, they have blessings, abundance, and the favor of GOD Almighty. They have so many blessings. We see that Isaac is able to obtain these blessings, because he grows also. He is able to have children. He is able to have two children. Which appear to be fraternal twins. They are born at the same time, one before the other. One of them is Esau, the firstborn, who is going to be a boisterous and arrogant individual and then the second born is going to be Jacob and he is going to be a meek and quiet individual who respects GOD Almighty and believes in GOD Almighty. We see this distinction being made when Isaac has children. We see the distinction between the two types of children. Similar to what happened to Abraham. There was Ishmael and Isaac. Here they are being born by the same mother. There are two children. GOD Almighty states specifically the promises that would happen in the life of the children. GOD Almighty is able to choose whom he favors.

Two Nations in the Womb

GOD Almighty gives grace, but He is also able to be GOD Almighty. He is able to choose whom He favors. So when Jacob is born and Esau is born, we learn that GOD tells us:

“Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger.” -Genesis 25: 23

When Rebekah is conceiving, GOD Almighty tells them that these two children are going to be the start of two nations. These two nations will be divided, meaning these two nations will have division. They are not going to be in accord with one another. They are going to be striving with each other. That is how they are born. Even when GOD Almighty is saying this, He says that one will be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger. This is different from what is tradition. Tradition says the first born gets all the blessings, but the older shall serve the younger. When we see that they are born:

“When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb. Afterward his brother came out with his hand holding Esau's heel, so his name was called Jacob.” - Genesis 25: 24 and 26

We see that the one who is born second, Jacob, comes out holding Esau's heel. There is this wrestling and striving even in the womb. Telling us what GOD had stated thatwas going to happen. So again we see the promises of GOD Almighty being realized. GOD Almighty is saying what will happen. Out of these two individuals, Esau and Jacob, would be two nations that would be striving against each other. One would be stronger than the other and that the older would serve the younger. That meaning that Esau would be a servant of Jacob even though Jacob was the younger.

This would be the distinction of the two, one of them was a skillful man of the field and the other one was a quiet man who lived in tents and worshiped GOD Almighty. Based on this, there is a distinction between the both of them. We see the distinction between both of them. One of them is arrogant and the other is meek. Jacob, is the meek one. This goes again forward to how King Jesus Christ is described and how King Jesus Christ is meek in the Gospel. Jesus is meek like Moses. King Jesus Christ obeys GOD Almighty and the purpose of GOD Almighty making sure everything is in accordance with GOD Almighty. Jacob is similar. Esau not so. Esau is rebellious. Esau is a rebellious individual.

We learn this because the reason that Isaac and Rebekah have difficulties is not for their own sake, but because Esau marries two foreign women. Two Hittite women. This is because of the beliefs that they have. They are not going to obeythe belief of the people of Abraham. Scripture says that they made their life bitter. By meaning that they made their life bitter, means that there was some opposition and difficulty. Rebekah wanted for Jacob to have a wife from within their own people. So that they would not have difficulties like they had with Esau.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
