David Instructs Obedience to the Commandments of Moses in Psalm 119

"And GOD spoke all these words, saying, 'I am the LORD your GOD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.' 'You shall have no other gods before me.'"- Exodus 20: 1-2
David instructs in almost all of the psalms the importance of persevering in the worship of GOD Almighty obeying the commandments of Moses. We are able to deny sin and idol worship. We learn that even when there is temptation or persecution, GOD Almighty guards us when we decide to obey the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart. For this reason, we are supposed to love GOD Almighty above everything. By denying idol worship and self-worship that is idolatry, we can persevere in the path of eternal salvation. We know that GOD Almighty freed Israel with Moses from slavery. We can learn to be far apart from the illusions and deception that the snake attempts to cause so that individuals think that idolatry is freedom.
"I will keep your law continually, forever and ever."- Psalm 119: 44
Instead of believing the deception and illusions of the snake, we can persevere speaking truth and obeying the commandments of Moses. We learn that the snake attempted to lead Korah's rebellion back to Egypt to practice idolatry when Israel had already been freed with signs and wonders by GOD Almighty and Moses. David reminds us that instead of going after the illusion of "power" or the illusion of "pleasure" we can persevere worshiping the GOD of gods and LORD of lords, GOD Almighty. We learn that GOD Almighty is greater than the cares of the world, temptation, and persecution. GOD Almighty helps us know that we can persevere to eternal salvation in the worship of GOD Almighty and confessing King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior.
David describes the need to obey the commandments of Moses that is the Mosaic law. We learn that the commandments are a light and a shield that allows us to persevere in the path of eternal salvation. David describes how obeying the commandments allows him to persevere through obstacles, circumstances, and tribulation. GOD Almighty delivers us from the temporary lies of the cares of the world and temptation that says that individuals need to practice sin in order to survive. We learn that this is a blatant lie because David did not practice sin and did not practice idol worship a single day of his life. David was able to persevere with salvation in the worship of GOD Almighty so much so that he did not envy, resent, hate, or covet. Instead David perseveres with gratitude and gladness in the worship of GOD Almighty amidst temptation and persecution.
"And I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts."- Psalm 119: 45
David knows that if worshiping GOD Almighty is all he has, David has everything that he needs. We learn that David acknowledges that GOD Almighty is who makes our paths straight. We are able to walk in a wide place meaning that we have safety and security from the attacks, deceit, and temporary lies of evil. David learns the commandments, precepts, statutes, and rules to worship GOD Almighty above everything. This wisdom helps David persevere loving GOD Almighty above everything and not practicing idol worship. We learn that the Sacred Scriptures helps us obey the commandments of Moses and persevere in the path of eternal salvation. David acknowledges that GOD Almighty is salvation and deliverance from the adversities. We learn that the righteous kings of Judah persevere with fidelity to GOD Almighty describing Rehoboam, Asaph, Jehoshaphat, and Hezekiah. We learn that GOD Almighty does not forsake the righteous and is able to destroy the wicked. The righteous kings decide to worship GOD Almighty and persevere amidst everything. We learn to accept correction and reproof and obey the commandments of Moses while repenting of sin. David was able to persevere obeying the commandments of Moses amidst persecution from Saul. Rehoboam was able to obey the commandments after repenting of arrogance. We learn that after repenting of arrogance, Rehoboam was able to persevere. Shishak was not able not affect Rehoboam describing the absolute power, dominion, authority, and control of GOD Almighty. This describes that the worship of GOD Almighty helps us persevere in the path of eternal salvation.
