In this episode of Resurrection Radio Podcast, we learn about the people’s need for a representative since Samuel is no longer able to be a judge for Israel. We learn that the people want a king and tell Samuel about this. GOD Almighty allows the people to have a king for Israel.

We learn that the reason that the people of Israel wanted a king was because they wanted to be like the nations. We learn that this was seen as evil by Samuel, the prophet, and by GOD Almighty because they wanted to be like the nations in this respect. We learn that GOD Almighty raises up Saul from the tribe of Benjamin to lead the people of Israel against the surrounding hostile nations.

 We learn that GOD Almighty is able to provide for the people of Israel as long as they listen to the commandments of GOD Almighty spoken by Samuel. We learn that when the people pay attention to GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty is able to defeat Israel’s enemies. When the people do not follow GOD Almighty’s commandments, they begin to have difficulties.
