In this episode of Resurrection Radio Podcast, we learn about the vision Ezekiel has about the celestial beings and GOD, the need to preach to Israel during exile, and the prophesies that Ezekiel speaks through the Spirit of Truth prophesying about King Jesus Christ. We learn about the grace of GOD for Israel and the promises that are fulfilled when GOD brings the people back from exile and sends Jesus Christ to save humanity. We can see how Ezekiel is able to persevere and preach despite the people’s incredulity.

We are able to see that GOD is able to send Ezekiel during a difficult time to preach. We learn that during the preaching of Ezekiel, Israel’s exiled remnant is able to hear the word of GOD and learn specifically of how they could change to receive the promises of GOD. We learn that the people of Israel would be able to return to Israel after GOD stated that they would be returned to their land.

We will also learn about the similarities between Daniel’s vision and Ezekiel’s vision of Heaven and how GOD places the Spirit of Truth in prophets, disciples, apostles, and righteous Christian believers so that they can see how the Scriptures are truth. While the books of the Scriptures are written by different authors, we know that GOD allows the authors of the books to speak truth that is referenced through the Scriptures.

Episode: “Ezekiel, Exile, and Prophecy”

Introduction

Good afternoon! This is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. The topic of today is going to be the Book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel was another prophet that was sent to Israel after Isaiah and after Jeremiah. Isaiah was sent somewhere around 730 B.C. and 750 B.C. to Israel in order to preach about their need for repentance. Jeremiah was sent around 627 B.C. About one-hundred years after Isaiah was sent by GOD Almighty, Jeremiah is sent in order to preach repentance to the people of Israel. Jeremiah is also able to offer prophecy and tell the people that the future would be better if they decided to repent of sin. Isaiah would begin prophesying in 740 B.C. Jeremiah would be prophesying in 627 B.C. It is a bit more than 100 years between the prophesying of Isaiah and Jeremiah. Isaiah is considered one of the great prophets because we see a lot of detail on his preaching and also of the prophecies. This is because of the sins that were happening in Israel at the time and the need for repentance for the people of Israel. We also learn that Isaiah is sent because of GOD Almighty's grace.

GOD Almighty's Grace

The prophets were exhibiting the grace that GOD Almighty would give when Jesus Christ arrived to earth. In Isaiah, we see a prophet who is able to show GOD Almighty's grace because GOD Almighty sends Ezekiel to preach to the people about the need for repentance. It also teaches us about the Omniscience of GOD. The ability for GOD to see everything and be present everywhere. Basically, the people were told what their sins were specifically to detail. GOD Almighty is able to see everything that we do. Because of this, we are able to acknowledge our sin and repent. For those that are believers, we acknowledge this. For those that are non-believers, that is the reason the prophets were sent in order for them to learn about the greatness of GOD Almighty.

This was to learn about the Omniscience, Omnipotence, and Omnipresence of GOD Almighty among other qualities that the human mind cannot understand. They would repent of their sins because of the signs that GOD Almighty would give them through Isaiah the prophet or through other prophets. Isaiah would not only preach repentance and hope, but he would tell the people that if they obeyed GOD Almighty there would be blessings, abundance, and favor. Among the promises that were included were the keeping of the Promised Land that was given to Abraham, the abundance for the people seen through the continuation of the lineage of Abraham through Isaac, Jacob, and the Twelve Tribes throughout history and into eternity, and the promise that GOD Almighty would be their shield and their protection. Based on this, they would keep their land even when there were enemies or difficulties around them.

Prophets Sent to Israel

Isaiah is one of the first prophets that is sent to prophecy. Isaiah is considered a prophet of Judah because he was sent to the southern kingdom. There is another prophet Micah, who was sent about the same time, but we do not know about Micah because the book of Micah is thinner than the book of Isaiah. The book of Isaiah contains greater than sixty chapters which tell us about the preaching and the need for repentance that GOD gives, and we also learn that the Book of Isaiah gives the ability of the prophet to describe and teach about the same GOD Almighty we read in the Gospel.

Isaiah has a vision of GOD Almighty and is able to see GOD Almighty similar to Daniel and Ezekiel who also prophesy about King Jesus Christ. So even when they begin to prophecy about King Jesus Christ, they each have their own prophesies that attest to the eternal and infinite authority, dominion, sovereignty, and power of King Jesus Christ. Although it is the same word, and we know that King Jesus Christ is part of the prophesying, we know greater detail in Isaiah. After Isaiah there are other prophets that are sent Nahum, Zepheniah, Habakukk, and another big prophet that is sent is Jeremiah. Jeremiah is sent somewhere around 627 B.C. Jeremiah when he is sent in 627 B.C., we know that he is sent specifically in order to tell the people of Israel not to sin.

The Prophets Prophecy About King Jesus Christ

That is the main reason for Jeremiah's ministry although Jeremiah also prophecies about King Jesus Christ like Isaiah. He is able to preach about King Jesus Christ, prophesy about King Jesus Christ, and speak to the Omnipotence of GOD Almighty and the qualities of GOD Almighty, the Omnipotence, Omniscience, Omnipresence, among other qualities that we cannot understand. Jeremiah is also able to specifically devote his time and persistence in order to shift the mindset of the people of Israel from a lifestyle of sin into a lifestyle of righteousness. A lifestyle where they believe in King Jesus Christ and a lifestyle where they believe in GOD Almighty and a lifestyle where they obey the commandments and have faith in GOD Almighty. Jeremiah is sent for that reason.

Specifically to preach repentance of sin although he is also able to judge the nations based on what GOD Almighty states and fulfill what GOD states for him. GOD Almighty judges the nations through Jeremiah and then those judgments occur later on or also GOD states what is going to happen in history and prophesies about history through Jeremiah and then that is what happens. And then after Jeremiah, Daniel is sent in 605 B.C. and then Ezekiel is sent in 587 B.C. So we know that Jeremiah, Daniel, and Ezekiel are pretty much sent concurrently or near the same period of time because of the importance of the people understanding that they need to atone for their sin.

So when Ezekiel is sent, he is sent after Jeremiah and after Daniel. We know that Jeremiah and Daniel are similar to Isaiah. They are important prophets because GOD Almighty allows them to understand things that GOD Almighty allows only them to understand. He is giving them favor and understanding. Because of this, they are able to understand things that are very complex and very difficult to understand but they are able to understand and preach and also to act righteously. Ezekiel is sent in 587 B.C. after the first exile of Israel from Chaldea. The reason for this is because of the sin of its inhabitants. When Isaiah was preaching, he was saying that they might go into exile, Jeremiah stated that if they did not repent, they would go to exile. Daniel tries to atone for the iniquity of Israel by praying to GOD Almighty by asking for forgiveness for the sins of the nation and fasting while they are in exile.

Ezekiel Sent During Chaldean Exile of Israel

Ezekiel is sent to preach for the sins of Israel while they are in exile in order to return back to the land and obey the commandments. One of the important things about Ezekiel through all of this is that Ezekiel preaches the word of GOD Almighty and he has a vision. Similar to the visions that Isaiah is able to have. This tells us that this is the True GOD Almighty, the Living GOD. The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We know that this is coming from the same source, the same Spirit of Truth. We know that the importance of the message is still the same. They need to make sure that they are obeying what GOD Almighty states. That they are reminded not to practice sin. Scripture states specifically that Ezekiel sees the greatness of GOD.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
