Resurrection Radio Podcast
Episode: “King Asa, Kingdom of Judah, and Belief”
Introduction
Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We spoke of the Book of 2 Chronicles concerning King Abijam who is the son of Rehoboam. King Abijam does not doubt GOD Almighty in providing for the manner that they were going to make it out. There is that constant understanding that in the life of Christian believers sometimes when we are walking in our belief in GOD Almighty there are difficulties that occur because of the envy of sin.
Reminding Ourselves of GOD Almighty's Faithfulness
We
see the examples in David, Moses, and Joshua that are people of GOD
Almighty. When we are Christian believers we have to persevere and
have faith in GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty can grow our faith. We learn
from King Jesus Christ who tells us that if we have faith like a
mustard seed, it can grow to one of the biggest trees. That is
through faith. The faith can grow if we have faith in GOD Almighty.
We need to persevere to have faith in GOD Almighty to increase
our Christian zeal.
Rehoboam was mighty and had strength because GOD Almighty was protecting Rehoboam. There was that strength. Solomon had wisdom that GOD Almighty had given to Solomon. Abijam grew in the LORD in might because of GOD Almighty. When we are righteous Christian believers, we have to remind ourselves what David does with the resources that GOD Almighty gives whether they are immeasurable things like might, wisdom, strength, or finite things like material resources and things like that.
We do know that we are supposed to glorify GOD Almighty with those things. GOD Almighty gives that, GOD Almighty is the Creator and those things are given by GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty creates, and we give the glory to GOD Almighty. Through each specific thing, we are meant to glorify GOD Almighty. We know that initially with the wisdom that Solomon has, he uses it to glorify GOD Almighty. Solomon uses that to glorify the GOD of gods. The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. GOD the Father, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth.
GOD Almighty is worshiped. That is initially good. We know that evil is constantly trying to attack individuals in order to cause them to commit idolatry or tempting to see how to affect them to not worship GOD Almighty. That is the purpose of evil. To tempt people to not believe in GOD Almighty. If they do not believe in GOD Almighty, they are going to believe in falsehoods, idolatry, and temporary lies. Evil tries to get individuals to doubt GOD Almighty. We learn that the righteous Christians decide to worship GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth above everything and are guarded from the temptations, temporary lies, and falsehoods of evil.
Having Faith in GOD Almighty
When we do not doubt GOD Almighty, and we believe in GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty provides. Initially, Solomon is able to have wisdom from GOD Almighty and is able to use it to glorify GOD Almighty. Rehoboam initially has might. Rehoboam is able to strengthen the kingdom of Judah and is able to protect the people of Judah. Rehoboam protects the citizens and those that are righteous and they abound. As soon as there is that growth in strength for the kingdom of Judah under the kingship of King Rehoboam, there may be those lies that say that the strength is innate. No, that strength is from GOD Almighty.
We learn that Rehoboam initially has difficulty with that, but GOD Almighty is able to strengthen him when he is able to trust in GOD Almighty. We have to constantly renew, renovate, and keep restoring our mindset so we can persevere to worship GOD Almighty and understand what GOD Almighty wants. There is that constant reminder that when we are worshiping GOD Almighty, praying, fasting, and believing in GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty is able to allow us to understand these things. These are complex things that we can only understand in the Spirit of Truth. Through the worldly perspective, we are not going to understand this.
Understanding Through the Spirit of Truth
Through the Spirit of Truth, there is understanding. We know that righteous Christians have qualities, characteristics, and attributes that are given by GOD Almighty in order to worship GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We know that evil is trying to use those attributes, qualities, and characteristics to cause them to doubt GOD Almighty. We have to remind ourselves that GOD Almighty gives and decides how virtues are used for the glorification of GOD Almighty. The creation was created for the glorification of GOD Almighty.
If we understand like David understands, we are in a good place. If we understand this, this is the understanding that David gives. GOD Almighty is the Creator, and everything else is the creation. GOD Almighty creates, and the creation glorifies GOD Almighty. Those gifts from GOD Almighty whether they are qualities, attributes, or characteristics are used to glorify GOD Almighty. Those things that are good are from GOD Almighty. Rehoboam understands this and is able to glorify GOD Almighty.
Then Abijam is mighty and grows in might, but is able to glorify GOD Almighty. We know that King Asa, the son of Abijam, is able to have peace in the land because of the faith in GOD Almighty. King Asa is able to worship GOD Almighty. We learn that King Asa is able to grow in the belief in GOD Almighty, and King Asa is the son of King Abijam. When he grows, there is peace and is given the kingship. GOD Almighty provides peace for the kingdom of Judah. That is GOD Almighty providing the resources whether they are immeasurable virtues that are positive and peace. That is another thing. This is what we learn at that time.
Positive Examples of Faith in the Righteous Kings of Judah
It is very interesting because this is the description that is read for the kings of the south. For the kings of the north, it is stated that they commit evil and wickedness or that they act like Ahab. David is the name that is a reminder of righteousness when reminding ourselves of the description of good. We learn that Ahab is the description of wickedness for those that are wicked. When we read of David it is in positive terms. When we read of Ahab, it is in negative terms.
So when we read about the kings of the south there is the description that they were good, and they did righteousness like obeying the commandments, statutes, Sabbaths, and had fervor in GOD Almighty, and they did right in the eyes of the LORD.
“He took away the foreign altars and the high places and broke down the idols and commanded Judah to seek the LORD, the GOD of their fathers and to seek the commandments.”
There were statues and pillars that they would build that would cause the time of difficulties when they had everything. They began to commit idolatry and place these places of idol worship and they would begin to have difficulties. Again, they would begin to believe in GOD Almighty and they would break down and take away those idol worship pillars or structures. They would eliminate those structures from around them and everything would abound. There were those cycles when there was great faith, they took down the pillars and idols, and then when there was idol worship, they would place them in specific regions and there would be difficulties because of the practice of idolatry and sin.We learn that the righteous obey the commandments of Moses and do not practice idolatry and sin.
Removal of Idolatry
King
Asa made sure that there was no altar worship. He made sure that
those places of idol worship where no longer there. That is part of
reformation making sure that there is a true worship. There is that
reproof like Paul says. We learn that Paul reproofs the churches
practicing idol worship. Paul reproofs those that were trying to
create idol worship. This is similar to the kingdom of Israel. King
Asa made sure to stop the idol worship in the land of Judah similar
to King Abijam because of their zealous faith. That great faith.
“They also took out all the high places and the incense altars.”
This also tells us that those incense altars were not for GOD Almighty because GOD Almighty had a specific designation where they were supposed to glorify GOD Almighty and worship GOD Almighty in the temple or the tent of witness prior to the temple. There was a specific place where they had to worship GOD Almighty. The tent of witness during the time of Moses initially at Shiloh, but GOD Almighty changes that because of the unfaithfulness of the sons of Eli. Then the tent of witness is placed in other places.
We know that it is in Jerusalem when David is king and the temple was the place where the people of Israel were instructed to worship GOD Almighty and offer incense through the priests and Levites. This is for the worship of GOD Almighty. That is why the priests went to Jerusalem to be able to worship GOD Almighty in the temple. The temple was in the south. We know that for the high places that were around Judah were places where there was idol worship. GOD Almighty had decided the place where the people would be able to worship GOD Almighty.
GOD Almighty decided how He was supposed to be worshiped and where He was supposed to be worshiped. These places described where for idol worship. King Asa made sure that those specific places were removed.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
