Episode: “King Abijam, Confidence in GOD Almighty, and Peace”
Introduction
Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We spoke in the previous episodes of the different kings of the tribe of Judah. We spoke of David, Solomon, Rehoboam, who is Solomon's son. During Rehoboam's time there is the division of the kingdom of Israel between the northern ten tribes of Israel and the southern two tribes of Judah. We know that Rehoboam is able to persevere ruling the tribe of Judah and Benjamin. We learn that they grow in might and strength because they honor GOD Almighty. We learn that there are the priests that leave the northern ten tribes to persist fulfilling their work and prophesying and teaching the people the commandments, the statutes, and the Sabbaths.
Rehoboam Reinforces the Kingdom of Judah Through Faith in GOD Almighty
They persevere to glorify GOD Almighty above everything. The kingdom of the south is reinforced until Rehoboam thinks that it is because of Rehoboam that this is happening. GOD Almighty is allowing for Rehoboam to increase in strength in obedience to the commandments of Moses so that the people of Judah and Rehoboam can persevere. Rehoboam perseveres and is able to strengthen Jerusalem and the cities of the south. This is through the help of GOD Almighty. People were worshiping GOD Almighty. People had decided to leave the north where there was idolatry to the south to worship GOD Almighty. Because of that the kingdom of the south was able to grow and abound. We learn that when there are difficulties when Rehoboam decides to not obey the word of GOD Almighty and the commandments, statutes, and Sabbaths, there are difficulties for Rehoboam. Rehoboam is able to atone and state that GOD Almighty is righteous.
We read that when the house of David, the lineage of David, was not faithful to GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty was going to discipline them but not forget them. We know that word of GOD Almighty is true. The word of GOD Almighty is infinite, eternal, indestructible, and infallible. The Word of GOD Almighty is eternal truth. The word of GOD Almighty is eternal. We read that instead of Rehoboam being made an end of he is spared because GOD Almighty protects Rehoboam because of the love of David. That is seen again throughout Scripture. We learn that Rehoboam is able to grow strong. Rehoboam reigns in the southern kingdom of Judah and Benjamin. We know that Rehoboam has a son who is able to inherit the kingdom to his son Abijam.
“In the eighteenth year of king Rehoboam began Abijah to reign over Judah. Three years reigned he in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Micaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. And Abijah joined battle with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men; and Jeroboam set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, who were mighty men of valour. And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill-country of Ephraim, and said: ‘Hear me, O Jeroboam and all Israel; ought ye not to know that the LORD, the God of Israel, gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt? Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up, and rebelled against his lord. And there were gathered unto him vain men, base fellows that strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and faint-hearted, and could not withstand them.”- 2 Chronicles 13: 1-3
The Consequences of Idolatry Seen in the Divided Kingdom of Israel
We have that constant reminder of the division that exists between the people of the kingdom of Israel and the people of the kingdom of Judah. So again, the house of David knows there was rebellion. The house of Israel decided to not follow the house of David. There seems like there was an understanding that the kingdom of the south tried to unify, but that was not possible because GOD Almighty had decided for there to be division between Israel and Judah. GOD Almighty stated that there was going to be division and there was division. This was because of Solomon's idolatry. It is that example of knowing that. It is further emphasized and seen when Israel begins to commit idolatry through the kings and false priests that they have. They are not the Levitical priesthood, and they make their own priests that offer worship to idols. There are difficulties in the kingdom of the north compared to the kingdom of the south because of this. The kingdom of the south understands that the lineage and dynasty is being established through David by GOD Almighty.
They tried to say that there was that rebellion and specific understanding. GOD Almighty had given those ten tribes to Jeroboam in order to show that GOD Almighty is in control. GOD Almighty had spoken that word and that is what happens. The people of Abijam and Rehoboam go against the people of the north. There is difficulty, strife, and arguments. There is no unity. We learned that in the past the people were unified under David and under Solomon. They were unified in order to abound. Now there is division when they are fighting against one another. This is the consequences of idolatry and idol worship. Idolatry leads to difficulty.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
