Resurrection Radio Podcast

Episode: “Psalm 119, Belief, and Life”

Introduction

Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We spoke about King Hezekiah in the previous episode in the Book of Chronicles. We spoke about how King Hezekiah was a righteous king that was different from the other kings who decided to be wicked or started being wicked. We learn that the land abounds because Hezekiah is righteous and there are reformations that allow for the worship of GOD Almighty and the abounding of the land. Israel abounds through the faith of King Hezekiah for GOD Almighty.

The Book of Isaiah Speaks of the Grace of GOD Almighty

In the Book of Isaiah, there is greater information about Hezekiah. The Book of Chronicles tells us of a time when Hezekiah was having difficulty.

“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him: ‘Thus saith the LORD: Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.’ Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, and said: ‘Remember now, O LORD, I beseech Thee, how I have walked before Thee in truth and with a whole heart, and have done that which is good in Thy sight.’ And Hezekiah wept sore.”- Isaiah 38: 1-3

We know that at this time it was required that Hezekiah was not going to be there, but we learn that he is able to pray to GOD Almighty and humbles himself to GOD Almighty.

“Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying: Go, and say to Hezekiah: Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father: I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears; behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city. And this shall be the sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that He hath spoken: behold, I will cause the shadow of the dial, which is gone down on the sun-dial of Ahaz, to return backward ten degrees.’ So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.”- Isaiah 38: 4-6

In this specific example, I am not sure if this is before the difficulties with the foreign nation of Assyria. Isaiah was telling him that Hezekiah had gone through the time that GOD Almighty had required. That the time for Hezekiah had been completed. We learn that Hezekiah is given grace by GOD Almighty and receives fifteen years. GOD Almighty provides a sign and turns the dial back meaning that time was being given. This is a sign that is telling us that GOD Almighty was providing for additional time. The times do not constrain GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty constraints and decides for the times. GOD Almighty gives grace for the righteous individuals.

We are able to see that GOD Almighty is graceful for the righteous, but we see how GOD Almighty is graceful even to the wicked. GOD Almighty even provides grace to Ahab. This is telling us that GOD Almighty is a GOD of grace. We know that GOD Almighty gives favor for righteous individuals and grace for the wicked. GOD Almighty is able to provide this example through Isaiah and Hezekiah. GOD Almighty is able to care for them.

The Writings of Hezekiah Speak of the Grace of GOD Almighty

“The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness. I said: In the noontide of my days I shall go, Even to the gates of the nether-world; I am deprived of the residue of my years. I said: I shall not see the LORD, Even the LORD in the land of the living; I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world. My habitation is plucked up and carried away from me As a shepherd’s tent; I have rolled up like a weaver my life; He will cut me off from the thrum; From day even to night wilt Thou make an end of me. The more I make myself like unto a lion until morning, The more it breaketh all my bones; From day even to night wilt Thou make an end of me. Like a swallow or a crane, so do I chatter, I do moan as a dove; Mine eyes fail with looking upward. O LORD, I am oppressed, be Thou my surety. What shall I say? He hath both spoken unto me, And Himself hath done it; I shall go softly all my years for the bitterness of my soul. O Lord, by these things men live, And altogether therein is the life of my spirit; Wherefore recover Thou me, and make me to live. Behold, for my peace I had great bitterness; But Thou hast in love to my soul delivered it From the pit of corruption; For Thou hast cast all my sins behind Thy back. For the nether-world cannot praise Thee, Death cannot celebrate Thee; They that go down into the pit cannot hope for Thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise Thee, As I do this day; The father to the children shall make known Thy truth. The LORD is ready to save me; Therefore we will sing songs to the stringed instruments All the days of our life in the house of the LORD. And Isaiah said: ‘Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster upon the boil, and he shall recover.’ And Hezekiah said. ‘What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?’”- Isaiah 38: 9-22

This is very similar in understanding to the Book of Job. Even David's Psalms, speaking of GOD Almighty deciding for the times and knowing everything. This is speaking of the signs and difficulties that were happening for Hezekiah. There was sickness, and the times seem to be completed for Hezekiah, but GOD Almighty is graceful and gives additional time to Hezekiah. We also read about the change in tone of the writings of Hezekiah that he begins speaking of the difficulties at times in life.

Hezekiah shifts and speaks about how GOD Almighty is graceful. GOD Almighty is able to provide health to Hezekiah, provide additional time, and Hezekiah would rejoice and play instruments to GOD Almighty. This is very similar to the Psalms of David. When there are difficulties and individuals go to GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty delivers them from those difficulties. We read that for that time it speaks to the grace of GOD Almighty. We also read of the manner that King David and King Hezekiah praise GOD Almighty.

The Psalms of David Speak of the Grace of GOD Almighty

When we go to the Psalms and try to understand those difficulties that exist, there are Psalms that talk about those difficulties. David speaks of the difficulties similar to Hezekiah.

“My soul cleaveth unto the dust; Quicken Thou me according to Thy word.”

We learn that sometimes there are difficulties with the world, or other times it may be sin. We learn that if it is sin, we repent. GOD Almighty is able to provide life, grace, and salvation to the righteous Christians, and we are able to persevere.

“I told of my ways, and Thou didst answer me; Teach me Thy statutes. ”

Through the commandments, we are able to persevere moving forward.

“Make me to understand the way of Thy precepts, That I may talk of Thy wondrous works. ”

We learn that through the commandments, we are able to obtain blessings, favor, and abundance because of the favor of GOD Almighty. We learn that Hezekiah receives favor from GOD Almighty, and the sun dial turns back as a sign of the grace of GOD Almighty. There is a miracle that states that Hezekiah was receiving additional time through the grace of GOD Almighty. We learn that Hezekiah speaks to the Omnipotence, Omniscience, Omnipresence, Indestructible nature of GOD Almighty, infinite, eternal, among other qualities that the human mind cannot understand.

King Hezekiah reminds us like King David about the need to glorify GOD Almighty. We have to have zeal in obedience to the commandments of GOD Almighty. Reading and meditating on Scripture so that our intentions, actions, and words are positive. They all glorify GOD Almighty. If all this glorifies GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty is glorified, and we are allowed to persevere.

“Make me to understand the way of Thy precepts, That I may talk of Thy wondrous works. ”

Sometimes we have to read the word of GOD Almighty several times so that we can understand the meaning through the Spirit of Truth. Knowing the meaning prior to teaching.

“My soul melteth away for heaviness; Sustain me according unto Thy word. ”

Sometimes there are times of difficulty like King David shows and like King Hezekiah shows, but it is GOD Almighty who is able to strengthen us. We learn that when King David has difficulties, GOD Almighty strengthens King David through the prayer that King David provides. When David has his wives and possessions taken, we learn that he prays to GOD Almighty and is strengthened. Praying strengthens David and those righteous believers are able to worship GOD Almighty and they receive salvation, life, strength, and all these good things from GOD Almighty. This is what GOD Almighty decides.

Removing and Avoiding the Lies

“Remove from me the way of falsehood; And grant me Thy law graciously. ”

The things that are falsehoods and false and not truth and are not consistent with the word of GOD Almighty, we do not want to know anything about them. We want to be far from that. This is what King David is reminding us. That is why we have to remind ourselves of this. There is so much information that is trying to lead us to follow the lies and the falsehoods and the deceptions, and that is not what we are supposed to do. We are supposed to obey the word of GOD Almighty and believe in GOD Almighty just like the prophets, priests, disciples, and apostles that believed in GOD Almighty.

Because of this, they had rejoicing. This is what Paul, the apostle, says that there is joy amidst the difficulties. For King Hezekiah, there are difficulties, but GOD Almighty is able to provide. There is the example of King David, who is able to persevere amidst the difficulties. King David is able to rejoice and glorify GOD Almighty even in the difficulties. GOD Almighty allows King David to perseveres. This is only the truth. The truth allows us to rejoice, persevere glorifying GOD Almighty, and persevere praising GOD Almighty by fulfilling the purpose of GOD Almighty in our lives.

GOD Almighty has a purpose for each individual. If we obey the purpose of GOD Almighty in our lives, we are able to persevere advancing forward glorifying GOD Almighty over everything in this life. GOD Almighty is able to provide for us. We read that those false philosophies and false paths lead to wickedness. We do not want to know anything about that. From the Book of Chronicles, we learn that the philosophies of the world were idol worship. These lies led to the individuals having difficulties. We learn that the righteous individuals within the Kingdom of Judah were taught through the word of GOD Almighty. We learn that those individuals that believe those false philosophies, have different specific stories from those that are righteous examples from the previous episodes.

We learn that in the Kingdom of Judah, when they begin to obey the word of GOD Almighty, they are able to prosper. Not only they themselves, but the land prospers, and the people prosper. We know that there is that great understanding that GOD Almighty is able to provide. There is that understanding that we are not meant to learn about those things that are not good or not from GOD Almighty. Those things that are falsehoods, we do not pay attention to that because we learn that it is gradual the manner that they try to lead the wicked to the path of wickedness.

We have to remind ourselves that we are not for that. We are going to obey the path of righteousness. We are going to obey the path of GOD Almighty. This is through reminding ourselves of the word of GOD Almighty. That is why it is important to renovate, renew, and restore our mindset in our confidence in GOD Almighty by reading Scripture. We must read Scripture so that we are reminded not only of the things that are truth and are of GOD Almighty, but also avoiding the lies. We already have so much lies, the lies are repeated on multiple sources. We have to persevere worshiping GOD Almighty and glorifying GOD Almighty.

“I have chosen the way of faithfulness; Thine ordinances have I set [before me].”

The Path of Righteousness Gives Life

We have chosen the path of the righteous and the faithful. The path of life. GOD Almighty provides and is able to provide faithfulness. We have to have faith to acknowledge that faithfulness. Like Abraham, Joseph, and Moses, they believe in GOD Almighty and acknowledge GOD Almighty. They have faith in the promises of GOD Almighty. They do not deviate or stray from what GOD Almighty states. Because they have faith, they not only receive good things but they are able to persevere amidst the difficulties. That is what GOD Almighty provides. For each individual that believes in GOD Almighty, they are able to persevere because GOD Almighty is able to provide the manner that we can persevere.

“ I cleave unto Thy testimonies; O LORD, put me not to shame. I will run in the way of Thy commandments, For Thou dost enlarge my heart.”

We see with Paul and Peter that they go through difficulties, but are able to persevere praising and glorifying GOD Almighty. They are able to persevere adding believers that believe in King Jesus Christ so that they can have the chance to understand about the faith in GOD Almighty and raising up churches even amidst the difficulties. We read in Scriptures of examples of faith. Even when there are difficulties like in the Book of Chronicles for King David, yet there is the manner to persevere moving forward. There is also the necessity to persevere moving forward despite the obstacles, despite the hatred of the world, and the hatred of the things that are not of GOD Almighty. We still have to persevere moving forward. We still have to persevere glorifying GOD Almighty.

We still have to preach. We still have to persevere. This is the reason why each person has a purpose. As Christian individuals, we have to persevere in our purpose in glorifying GOD Almighty. This is to preach, glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this life because this life is temporary. This life is only a test to know who do we worship. Do we worship GOD Almighty? That is the reason for this life. This is the specific reason. So in our mindsets, we have to worship GOD Almighty over everything because GOD Almighty is eternal. That is our reward. Eternity in Heaven with GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. The things of the world are temporary and want to lead us far from GOD Almighty. The world wants to lead us far from the Scriptures. That is why the Scriptures are not seen as positive by the world because the Scriptures remind us of the faithfulness of GOD Almighty. The Scriptures remind us of the eternal truth of GOD Almighty. The Scriptures remind us of understanding and that there is reproof. This does not mean that there is no reproof. The reproof is so that we can persevere in the path of righteousness with the help of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth, in the path of eternal life

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
