Resurrection Radio Podcast
Episode: “The Psalms of David, Kingdom of Judah, and Wisdom”
Introduction
Good afternoon! I am Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We are reminded in Psalm 119 of the statutes of GOD Almighty, and that we need to obey the word of GOD Almighty to persevere. GOD Almighty is able to safeguard individuals. We learn that for the people living in the times of David, there were righteous individuals that believed. We know that sometimes for the sake of righteousness there is persecution, but GOD Almighty provides the manner to persevere similar to how David perseveres amidst persecution of the envy of sin.
Hatred of the World, Steadfast Love of GOD Almighty
Sometimes there is hatred. Sometimes there is the envy of the world. Even through that, GOD Almighty is able to provide for David through those difficulties and David is able to make it out through the confidence in GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty is the Creator, and GOD Almighty has decided for everything. All we have to do is believe in the word of GOD Almighty. When we believe and have confidence in the word of GOD Almighty, there are those promises that He told us through Abraham to David and to the lineage of David to King Jesus Christ and the disciples and apostles where those promises continue for true zealous believers in GOD Almighty.
GOD Almighty is telling us that righteous individuals that believe through faith have the favor of GOD Almighty. The benefits, favor, and good possible outcomes that are from the confidence in GOD Almighty. This is only happening from the confidence in GOD Almighty. The commandments are a shield. We learn that GOD Almighty promises to Abraham that He would be a shield to Abraham. This is before the commandments, but we know that Abraham has faith. The commandments were not in the time of Abraham, but Abraham had faith in GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty was allowing righteous Christians through faith to acknowledge GOD Almighty. The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the GOD of the disciples and apostles, GOD Almighty allows us to believe in the promises of GOD Almighty.
Faith, Commandments, and King Jesus Christ
Through GOD Almighty, we are able to have those promises. Through faith first, those promises were given and then the commandments were introduced after the faith. We learn that the faith was seen through Abraham for GOD Almighty and then the commandments were introduced to Moses. We then have grace and love through King Jesus Christ. There is that reminder. There is the reminder of faith through David.
Faith through Abraham, the commandments through Moses, although we know that all of this is through faith. All of this is because of faith. We are allowed to be reconciled through the commandments and faith. We learn that the land of Israel increases, and the promises are seen. We learn that through King Jesus Christ who is able to provide for us our necessities, GOD Almighty is able to provide our necessities and spiritual growth through King Jesus Christ.
We learn that because there are individuals who believe in the word of GOD Almighty, we know that there is the perseverance of the righteous remnant. The righteous remnant are those believers that have a zeal and confidence for GOD Almighty. We learn that this is from the promises of GOD Almighty to Abraham, and we see how they are able to persevere. The promises of GOD Almighty's eternal word allows the righteous remnant to persevere. The promises to the Levitical priesthood that they would persevere is continued through King Jesus Christ. The promises to the kings of Judah persists through King Jesus Christ. King Jesus Christ is forever king. That is the understanding.
GOD Almighty Provides for Israel and for Judah
When we read about this, we go to the Scriptures and question. “If GOD Almighty loved the southern kingdom so much why is the lineage of David only given two tribes, while the wicked idolaters are given a greater number of tribes?” This is for us to see the power of GOD Almighty. This is like GOD Almighty choosing Israel out of the nations to increase them. There is that same example and the same understanding.
Through righteousness, we are able to see the power of GOD Almighty. If the kingdom of Judah was given the greater number of tribes, well then of course everyone was going to say because of the greater number of people. People were going to say that it was because of other reasons. No. We learn that it is through the belief in GOD Almighty that He is able to provide. So there is that distinction.
When there is that question. “If GOD Almighty loved the kingdom of Judah so much, why did He only give them two tribes?” Because again the insistence that there was grace from GOD Almighty after there was sin from Solomon. GOD Almighty is still going to provide for them and that is the realization. There is the contrast that even when the other nations had everything else, they did not have GOD Almighty. Whether it was the wealth, whether it was the numbers, whether it was the technology, whether it was the alliances, whatever else they had, what GOD Almighty gives is greater. GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth is greater than everything.
The kingdom of Judah had GOD Almighty, and they had everything. When we read about this from other sources, we learn that other sources are going to say that nothing was happening at that time. Other sources will say that the kingdom of Judah was not important. No. The reason was because it was secure, stable, and solid. The kingdom of Judah was at peace because GOD Almighty was providing for them. There is that distinction. This is the same thing with Abraham.
“Why was Israel benefited?” They were the meek ones. They were the people who obeyed GOD Almighty. Like the kingdom of Judah obeyed GOD Almighty. There is that understanding. There is that understanding that first it is through meekness that they obey the word of GOD Almighty. That is the same thing that happens with the kingdom of Judah, but then there is that fierceness that they honor GOD Almighty above everything. David is that example of honoring GOD Almighty above everything.
David's Example Similar to the Levitical Priesthood
Through meekness there is that increase in strength that we cannot understand. It is not worldly strength, it is strength in the Spirit of Truth. It is boldness that is different. When we read what King David says:
“The LORD is my portion, I promise to keep your word.”
This is that reminder that GOD Almighty is our portion. There is that reminder that the Levitical priesthood had GOD Almighty as their portion. Their inheritance in the land of the tribes that is because GOD Almighty was going to be their portion. GOD Almighty was going to provide for them through the tithings of the people that were going to give a tenth of what they had. The production of resources was going to go to them. They were not going to lack. That is what we read in specific times of Hezekiah. We learn that the tribes take specific sources to the Levitical priesthood, and they organize and when everyone is worshiping GOD Almighty, people from other tribes are going to Jerusalem to worship GOD Almighty.
We read about there being apportionment to the Levitical priesthood that they had so much so that there was so much left over. That is how much GOD Almighty is able to provide. This is because they were going to be ministers of GOD Almighty, and they were going to be preaching the law. Persevering and being worshipers of GOD Almighty. Because of this, GOD Almighty was going to provide for them, GOD Almighty was going to help them, and GOD Almighty was going to sustain. That is what we see when they are righteous. The priesthood, the kings, the people, and everyone who is righteous abounds.
This happens through the promising to keep the word of GOD Almighty. We know that the word of GOD Almighty is infinite. The promises of GOD Almighty that He is going to have the lineage of Abraham persevere and abound that is what happens throughout Scripture. There is grace even when they sin. There is that remnant that He chooses that increases and perseveres. The Chaldean exile is that example. When there is that understanding that there is so much sin, that GOD Almighty has to cause the Chaldean exile so that they can understand. They cannot live in wickedness. They can not live in that manner. They return back and grow in number. That is GOD Almighty allowing for the remnant to persist, they are spared, and they persevere. That is the word of GOD Almighty. There are still Jewish individuals so there is that understanding.
Following the Word of GOD Almighty
GOD Almighty is fulfilling His word, and we have to obey the word of GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty gives those promises, and we have to obey through faith and obedience and we can persevere because GOD Almighty allows us to persist. GOD Almighty provides the manner that through the word of GOD Almighty we can persevere. We know that the promises of the word of GOD Almighty are true. The word of GOD Almighty has promises that are eternal. The word of GOD Almighty has promises that are infinite. The word of GOD Almighty has promises that are infallible.
Even when the people are not able to fulfill their portion, GOD Almighty is able to raise a remnant of righteous believers that is able to persevere from that. That is another promise to Abraham. The kings of Judah that persevere through the offspring of David through King Jesus Christ. This is the continuation of the promises of GOD Almighty to Abraham and to Jacob. The tribe of Judah is going to have kings, and the tribe of Judah has kings. There is that continuation. The word of GOD Almighty is true. We just have to believe in the word of GOD Almighty.
“I entreat your favor with all my heart, be gracious to me according to your promise.”
It is making sure that we have those blessings, favor, and abundance from GOD Almighty. There are positive outcomes because we choose to believe in GOD Almighty with all our heart. We learn that in the writings of Scripture, the kings are considered righteous who are able to love GOD Almighty with all their heart. They obey the word of GOD Almighty meaning they obey the First Commandment. They honor the First Commandment, and they honor GOD Almighty. Because they honor the First Commandment and GOD Almighty over everything in the world, GOD Almighty will acknowledge those individuals like GOD Almighty acknowledges David.
There were other things, but David chose GOD Almighty over everything. Regardless of the circumstances, any day, any month, any year, David chooses GOD Almighty over everything. GOD Almighty also chooses David over everyone else. GOD Almighty exalts him. That is what we read. What David is saying is just a reminder for future generations of the need to continue to glorify GOD Almighty amidst everything because GOD Almighty provides favor. GOD Almighty provides favor.
“Be gracious to me according to your promise.”
We have to understand that GOD Almighty is gracious. GOD Almighty gives grace. There are times when there are difficulties because of sin, and GOD Almighty is able to provide grace. We read about this throughout Scripture. The judges were raised up because there are cycles when Israel does not want to believe in GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty raises up judges because of that grace. GOD Almighty raises kings because of that grace. GOD Almighty raises up King Jesus Christ because of that grace. GOD Almighty is able to provide for the people that understanding. GOD Almighty allows us to liberate ourselves from the things of the world. GOD Almighty allows us to be free from those negative things in the word of GOD Almighty.
GOD Almighty Provides Us With Wisdom
GOD Almighty provides for freedom. We read about the kingdom of Judah how it is free. The kingdom of Judah has freedom, peace, understanding, joy, dominion, wisdom, sovereignty, might, strength, and it is able to persevere without difficulties when they are believing in GOD Almighty.
“When I think on my ways, I turn my feet to your testimonies. I hasten and do not delay to keep the commandments.”
As Christian believers, we have to think about the path that we are taking. What am I doing? Obeying the word of GOD Almighty. There is that introspection that we have to have within ourselves in order to understand that if we are following the correct path. If we are not introspecting and making sure we are on the correct path, if there is no discernment going on, there may be difficulties. There is always that reminder that the Scriptures allow us to understand that we have to question and think what we are doing.
Is this righteous? Is this edifying? Is this trying to grow me? Is this trying to help me? Is this trying to help me glorify GOD Almighty? Obviously, if something allows us to glorify GOD Almighty above everything then everything else is secondary. If what we decide for glorifies GOD Almighty above everything, then of course, there is going to be growth, strength, and wisdom. There is going to be all of that. All of that is added to the good things because GOD Almighty decides to give abundance and favor.
This is so that the word of GOD Almighty is a lamp to our feet. We can see where we are walking. We can see where we are going. We can see what is not going to help and what is not good. GOD Almighty is able to lead like a shepherd. GOD Almighty can provide and lead us to everlasting life. GOD Almighty can give salvation in this life and everlasting life in the next life.
“I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.”
It is important to place priority to the commandments. The commandments are protection for everything. We see through David how they are protection. We see how they are protection for Solomon when he is believing in GOD Almighty. As soon as he begins to commit idolatry, there are difficulties. There are greater difficulties and then Rehoboam is able to establish himself through the belief in GOD Almighty. We see how there are difficulties for not believing in GOD Almighty and then humbles himself to GOD Almighty, and GOD Almighty gives him strength. Rehoboam strengthens himself through the faith and the commandments.
The commandments are not a burden. They are not difficulties. They are not arbitrary rules. They are protection for our goodness for our sake. So that we can persevere and preserve our life so that there is eternal life in the next life. That is salvation and eternal salvation. That is protection. Being able to persevere obeying and having confidence in the word of GOD Almighty over everything in this life because the word of GOD Almighty is life. The word of GOD Almighty allows us to choose life over everything in this life. Choosing GOD Almighty over everything is going to provide for life.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
