Episode: “Solomon's Faith, Prayer, and the Divided Kingdom of Israel”
Introduction

Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We spoke previously about the Second Book of Chronicles how we were supposed to know about the importance of the temple for the people of Israel. We are supposed to remind ourselves that the temple was the reminder that GOD Almighty was with the people. We do know that there is a tent of witness that reminded the people of that. The tent of witness existed to remind the people that GOD Almighty was going to be with them when they traveled from the land of captivity to the Promised Land.
Israel Abounds in the Time of David
Also to remind the people of Israel that GOD Almighty was with them. Now that they had faith and were believing in GOD Almighty and knowing that the promises of GOD Almighty are eternal. The people of Israel have this mindset that they have the Promised Land because they believe in GOD Almighty, they have faith in GOD Almighty, and they are worshiping GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty gives the people of Israel peace because the surrounding nations are no longer hostile to them. They are subdued or there is diplomacy. GOD Almighty provides the conditions for the temple to be built. That is what happens.
Solomon prays for the people so that they know that the temple symbolizes the protection, provision, and joy, love, peace, grace, understanding, wisdom, authority, dominion, and sovereignty all of that from GOD Almighty. We know that GOD Almighty responds to Solomon's prayer. The glory of GOD Almighty is seen in the first temple. Everyone glorifies GOD Almighty and worships GOD Almighty. What is that constant reminder of Scripture when we worship GOD Almighty and glorify GOD Almighty. The righteous are allowed to stand and continue. The people glorify GOD Almighty.
“The LORD is good for His steadfast love is forever.”
GOD Almighty provides for signs and wonders to see that GOD Almighty is caring for them and providing for them. Even seeing that there were no difficulties and there was so much peace in the time of Solomon. This is talking of GOD Almighty's steadfast love. Even Solomon acknowledges that it is a time of peace. There are no difficulties for the people of Israel. GOD Almighty answers Solomon and they have already begun to use the temple and to consecrate the temple.
GOD Almighty Hears Solomon's Prayer
“Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD. Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king’s house; and all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected. And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him: ‘I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to Myself for a house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people; if My people, upon whom My name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ”
If the people have difficulties, it is because of sin. Why are these difficulties? Because of sin. As soon as they begin to have difficulties and they repent of their sin, those difficulties were also going to be resolved. GOD Almighty is able to resolve but also to cause difficulties. The Scriptures state that GOD Almighty heard the prayer of Solomon after the temple is there. If the people pray and believe in GOD Almighty and have faith in GOD Almighty, there will no longer be difficulties. If they begin to sin and they commit idolatry then there were difficulties. We learn that the difficulties included no rain, famines, and pestilences, GOD Almighty would help them if they repented from their sin. This is if they humbled themselves and followed the commandments, statutes, and Sabbaths of GOD Almighty.
If the the had belief in GOD Almighty and faith in GOD Almighty and changed, GOD Almighty would hear. GOD Almighty would protect the people and heal their land. There is that understanding that sin, a great amount of sin, and wickedness can cause the manner that the land is afflicted. Not only the individuals but the land is afflicted. If people repent, there is no longer sin and the land is healed. This is not a few sins. This is wickedness. Because they are living a life wickedness, no only are they affected but also the land is being afflicted. Only through GOD Almighty and through repentance are they able to abound.
“But if ye turn away, and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; then will I pluck them up by the roots out of My land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for My name, will I cast out of My sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. And this house, which is so high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall say: Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? And they shall answer: Because they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them; therefore hath He brought all this evil upon them.’”- 2 Chronicles 7: 11-22
The Reminder of Faithfulness to GOD Almighty
If the people are able to acknowledge their faith and be faithful to GOD Almighty, they do not commit idolatry and worship GOD Almighty, they were going to be provided, protected, and they would increase.
“Now Mine eyes shall be open, and Mine ears attent, unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and hallowed this house, that My name may be there for ever; and Mine eyes and My heart shall be there perpetually. And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before Me as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep My statutes and Mine ordinances; then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I covenanted with David thy father, saying: There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel. ”
GOD Almighty is saying that He is going to pay attention to the people's prayers and is going to provide for them as long as they were following the belief. GOD Almighty is allowing them to know that prayer is important. That is why prayer is so important for Christian believers. Not only because Solomon says it, GOD Almighty says that he listens to prayer. There is that understanding that prayer works. The other understanding is that if Solomon decided to walk the path of the righteous like David, meaning being righteous and following the commandments, statutes, and Sabbaths, believing in GOD Almighty. Loving GOD Almighty with all his might, wisdom, strength, mind, understanding, energy, faith, and being then GOD Almighty was going to protect him and provide for them. GOD Almighty would allow his offspring to continue to rule Israel.
And they shall answer: Because they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them; therefore hath He brought all this evil upon them.’”- 2 Chronicles 7: 19-22
Israel's Scattering and the Chaldean Exile Speak of the Eternal Word of GOD Almighty
There is that prophecy or option to decide to worship GOD Almighty and everything was going to work out, but as soon as they began committing idolatry they were going to have difficulties. They were going to be plucked up and placed in another place talking about exile or scattering. We learn that this happens first for Israel. The sins and idolatry of Solomon causes the kingdom of Israel to be divided. We learn that the kingdom of Israel is scattered first. We know that for the kingdom of Judah there is a Chaldean exile later because they follow the examples of idolatry. They do not commit idolatry like Israel because they have that fervor and zeal and they have great kings, priests, the Levitical priesthood, prophets, they have the reminders of GOD Almighty, the temple and Jerusalem.
We know that for the individuals of Israel when the nation is split, Jeroboam begins creating the worship of the calves, and the people begin to conduct idolatry. That is what continues. The kings of the north compared to the kings of the south we know for the most part are considered wicked because of idolatry. Only Jehu is considered righteous from the kings of the north of Israel because of the zeal for GOD Almighty. All the other individuals are considered wicked. We learn that for the kings of Judah, some are wicked, some are not completely wicked or righteous, neutral to some point, and then there are great kings in Judah that remind the people of Israel of worshiping GOD Almighty. If the kings were not righteous, there were prophets of GOD Almighty. In the north, there were no prophets or the prophets of the south had to preach to the people.
Rehoboam's Idolatry and Repentance
There is that understanding that GOD Almighty is able to provide for those things to happen and GOD Almighty knows. There is the reminder that even when Solomon commits idolatry, there is that difficulty that happens. We know that Rehoboam is able to keep one tribe in Judah and also the tribe of Benjamin that make up the kingdom of Judah. What this reminds us is that whenever they serve idols, there are difficulties. For Solomon, while it was not seen in Solomon's time, it was seen in the son of Solomon, Rehoboam. They begin to have difficulties in the land. They begin to have difficulties where there are two kingdoms. Where before it was not divided, now it is divided.
That is the result of idolatry even in the times of Solomon. GOD Almighty loves Solomon so much because He loves David so much that is that favor for David. We learn that Solomon does not see the difficulties that exist, but Rehoboam still has a kingdom. We also learn that when Rehoboam practices idolatry, Rehoboam believes in GOD Almighty for some years, and then begins to practice idolatry. There are difficulties for Rehoboam because of idolatry when Egypt goes against Judah and this is because of idolatry. Rehoboam humbles himself to GOD Almighty, and GOD Almighty resolves that difficulty with Egypt. They begin again to worship GOD Almighty. They are able to continue.
Righteousness and Abounding
We start to learn about the different kings. When the kings are righteous, we learn that everything abounds like in the time of Hezekiah. How Jerusalem abounds and everyone abounds because of the worship of GOD Almighty. We also learn about the wicked kings in the south or the north that there are difficulties for the people. That is what we learn. When the people go for idolatry, that is what happens. The temple was going to be destroyed at the point that it was used for wickedness or there is idolatry. That is what happens. First the Chaldean exile and then the Roman scattering. This is a reminder of what GOD Almighty states and that is what happens.
We have to have belief in GOD Almighty and we have to worship GOD Almighty. Why were the difficulties? Because they abandoned the LORD. They abandon the LORD and forgot GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty forgets them. As long as they are with GOD Almighty, they shall not lack. That is not only a reminder of the difficulties that exist without GOD Almighty, but of abundance that exists when they worship GOD Almighty. With the worship of GOD Almighty there is the temple and the peace, the abundance, the strength, the might, and the wisdom, and authority, and sovereignty. All those things they were not going to lack. Not only not necessities but the faith. They were not going to lack that as long as they believed in GOD Almighty and followed the commandments, statutes, and rules, and zealous faith. This is that reminder of what happens. We read there was close to a specific number of kings in the north and the south until GOD Almighty decides for Israel to have a scattering. They continue when they believe in GOD Almighty. When they do not believe in GOD Almighty, they begin to have difficulties. They do not want to have faith in GOD Almighty.
It is interesting that there is a reminder of that in Chronicles. Knowing of the specific things that happen. The difficulties of Israel how they no longer want to worship GOD Almighty. They no longer want to believe in GOD Almighty. They go through a scattering. This is pertaining to Israel, a nation that was conducting idolatry prior to Judah. It is that reminder that GOD Almighty has stated what was going to happen.
When we read how the kingdom is split into two portions, GOD Almighty had told us of this in the past through David and through Solomon. As long as they have faith, they have everything. They do not want to believe in GOD Almighty, they begin to have difficulties.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
