Synopsis: In this episode of Resurrection Radio Podcast, we learn about the first chapter of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. We are able to understand that GOD Almighty wants believers to know what is going to happen at the end of the ages. For believers, we are reminded of GOD Almighty being in absolute control of what is happening at the end times, and Jesus Christ is also given absolute authority to decide.

We learn from the first chapter of Revelation that GOD Almighty wants believers to not fear. Jesus Christ tells John not to fear King Jesus Christ. This tells us that as believers, we are not to fear GOD Almighty or King Jesus Christ because we are faithful servants of GOD Almighty.

We learn that there are specific symbols used in Revelation that tells us about King Jesus Christ offering salvation. While Revelation may produce fear at the language used, we learn that there is no need to fear according to what Jesus Christ tells us.

Episode: Revelation Chapter 1

Introduction

Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. In the previous episode we spoke about an introduction to Revelation. We read in the first chapter of Revelation about how the disciple John is able to receive revelation from King Jesus Christ or an angel of King Jesus Christ. We are going to read about that in specific detail. The important part of Revelation is not to be fearful of the word in Revelation because there is the reminder that King Jesus Christ is the Conquering Lion from the Tribe of Judah who has already conquered on the cross in the crucifixion, Resurrection, and is seated at the right hand side of GOD Almighty who is going to return with all Splendor, Glory, Majesty, Authority, Strength, Dominion, Power, Wisdom, Sovereignty, and Understanding.

Revelation Tells Us of Prophecy

King Jesus Christ is going to return to judge the wicked and create the New Earth. This is what the Book of Revelation tells us. We do not have to be afraid because when we look at it through that perspective then there is that understanding. If individuals are not believers, then there is still time to change from their wickedness and believe in King Jesus Christ. This is the manner that Revelation is preached through grace, logic, and love. This is through the obedience of GOD Almighty and also through the logic that exists in the the Word in Scripture of GOD Almighty.

“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which GOD gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of GOD and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”- Revelation 1: 1-3

We learn that this is the Revelation that King Jesus Christ gives to John the disciple. We read that King Jesus Christ or an angel of King Jesus Christ is revealing the revelation to John the disciple who is in the island called Patmos. We learn that he is exiled for his belief because he believes in King Jesus Christ. The belief in King Jesus Christ is greater than what the world can give, and he is exiled to Patmos. There he receives the Revelation of King Jesus Christ. We know that this is what the disciple is know for. John also wrote other books within Scripture, but is known for the Revelation and for the Gospel book. We read that GOD Almighty allows for the righteous individuals to be able to know what is going to happen.

We read that there is the understanding that GOD Almighty is providing the manner that the disciples and prophets were able to know what was going to happen through the Scriptures of GOD Almighty. We learn that this is spoken so that servants of GOD Almighty which include believers would be able to learn about the prophecies of the future. This understanding allows for righteous individuals to know what GOD Almighty had decided so that they do not practice sin nor idolatry. This is speaking about how GOD Almighty knows everything that is going to happen for all time and all eternity.

Prophecy in the Time of the Prophets

We learn that for Jeremiah, we learn that GOD Almighty has the purpose for Jeremiah to be a prophet even prior to being born. We learn that GOD Almighty had decided that Jeremiah was going to have a specific profession being a prophet. GOD Almighty was allowing Jeremiah to know that he was going to prophecy about the Chaldean exile. Jeremiah was also going to judge the nations. GOD Almighty tells this to Jeremiah, and Jeremiah fulfills the purpose of GOD Almighty preaching repentance of sin. We learn that King Jesus Christ tells John to preach the Word in Scripture of GOD Almighty to believers describing Revelation. This is from the source of the Spirit of Truth.

The Spirit of Truth reveals to us what GOD Almighty wants us to know. This is what King Jesus Christ and the Spirit of Truth do for the benefit of believers. GOD Almighty does not forsake us. GOD Almighty does tell us the information that is important concerning the end of the ages. GOD Almighty was telling the churches to prepare themselves by repenting and have zeal for the faith in GOD Almighty. King Jesus Christ is telling the churches through the servant John to know about the prophecy of King Jesus Christ.

“He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of GOD and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.”- Revelation 1:1-2

An angel of GOD Almighty, we do not know the name, and He does not tell us. If there is no name of the angel, we are not supposed to pay attention to that. This is because the worship goes to GOD Almighty. The angel is a servant of GOD Almighty, and we are all servants of GOD Almighty. The prophets, disciples, apostles, saints, and Christians are all working for the glorification of GOD Almighty.

An angel of GOD Almighty tells John, the disciple, about this revelation. This is so that John can bear witness to the Word of GOD Almighty and the testimony of King Jesus Christ. This is talking about John's belief and all that he saw.

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”- Revelation 1: 3

There are blessings given by GOD Almighty to those individuals that read aloud the words of the prophecy of Revelation. Blessed are those who hear and keep what is written in the Book of Revelation. There are blessings given by an angel of GOD Almighty or GOD Almighty or King Jesus Christ for those individuals who decide to read the words of Revelation and who keep the words of the Book of Revelation.

This is because the Book of Revelation is the truth. Blessed are those who prophecy to the truth. Those that preach the truth of King Jesus Christ and preach the Gospel. That is what the Scriptures say. Then we keep reading:

“John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.”- Revelation 1: 4-5

This is consistent with what we previously read about. The title of King Jesus Christ is faithful witness and firstborn of the dead. King Jesus Christ witnessed to the Gospel and to the glory of GOD Almighty that He was sent by GOD Almighty to die for our sins. King Jesus Christ is sent and is a faithful witness. King Jesus Christ has faith and obedience to GOD Almighty.

King Jesus Christ is also given the title, the firstborn of the dead, because He has Resurrection power. Who is resurrected from the dead? King Jesus Christ died on the cross and is Resurrected on the third day. Because of this, King Jesus Christ is the ruler of kings on earth. While there have been kings in the past, we know that since the crucifixion and resurrection of King Jesus Christ, He is the ruler because He is seated at the Right Hand Side of the Father.

This describes King Jesus Christ's authority. This is consistent with what the Scriptures tell us in the Books of the Prophets. John is sent to the seven churches, and we learn that there were seven churches in Asia. Those seven churches needed to know the prophecy that was being sent by King Jesus Christ. There were those seven churches in the time of John, but we also know that there are some interpretations that the end times will be represented by these churches.

The the good things and the reproofs of the churches are represented in those churches that are from the future. That is another interpretation. I am not sure. The important point is to take into account that King Jesus Christ is offering reproof. We learn that the Book of Revelation tells us no idolatry and no sexual immorality and that is consistent with the Book of the Prophets and the Scriptures of GOD Almighty. We have to pay attention to the Word in Scripture of GOD Almighty because in the end times, there may be churches that may exhibit those signs.

I do not know if this is talking about the churches at the time of John or if they are representations of future churches that may be involved in sin or difficulties that need to change. We learn that the angel of GOD Almighty offers grace and peace and that is something that angels are able to do. They are peaceful individuals. They obey GOD Almighty, and they are servants of GOD Almighty. They are good and created for good.

“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his GOD and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen. 'I am the Alpha and the Omega', says the LORD GOD, 'who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.'”- Revelation 1: 5-8

We note of the truth being spoken. King Jesus Christ has loved us and freed us from our sins with his blood. That is truth. King Jesus Christ has made a kingdom that is the Kingdom of Heaven. That is truth. King Jesus Christ is making priests through Christian believers who believe in King Jesus Christ. This is the intention that GOD Almighty wanted the nation of Israel to be a nation of priests. A nation of individuals who were consecrated for GOD Almighty. What do we see in the Levitical priesthood? Initially, there was meant to be priests that would glorify GOD Almighty and lead the nation of Israel to the praise of GOD Almighty.

GOD Almighty wanted individuals to believe in GOD Almighty completely. We learn that there are difficulties, but GOD Almighty sends King Jesus Christ to reconcile us back to GOD Almighty. If we believe in King Jesus Christ and obey His Word and have faith in King Jesus Christ, we are priests of King Jesus Christ. We Christians, apostles, disciples, believers are priests of GOD Almighty. This is because we believe in GOD Almighty over everything. This is speaking about true Christians.

We know that GOD Almighty provides favor when we obey the commandments of Moses, accept and confess King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior, and repent of sin.  Christians can become priests for GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty has the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. This is to understand that to King Jesus Christ belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. That is truth. Amen. We also know that King Jesus Christ is returning from the clouds. This is the other portrayal of King Jesus Christ. King Jesus Christ arrived to earth as a suffering servant, as a slain lamb, and a good shepherd. When King Jesus Christ is returning, King Jesus Christ is going to return from the clouds.

The same manner that King Jesus Christ is able to ascend to Heaven after appearing to His disciples, apostles, and believers, King Jesus Christ is going to return from the clouds from Heaven. We learn that the angels of King Jesus Christ ask the people why they were looking up to the individuals who were looking up. The same manner that King Jesus Christ went up to Heaven, King Jesus Christ is going to return. Where is King Jesus Christ returning from? The clouds. Not from earth. From the clouds.

Every eye will see King Jesus Christ. Since everyone is going to see King Jesus Christ, this is not from earth. This is going to be from the clouds. Every eye will see him. Everyone will see when King Jesus Christ returns. It will be inevitable. Every individual will see King Jesus Christ's return. We learn that even those who pierced King Jesus Christ. This could refer to those that do not accept or love King Jesus Christ. This could also mean those that afflicted King Jesus Christ when He died. So I do not know the interpretation for that.

Even those who pierced him and all the tribes of the earth will wail on account of King Jesus Christ. There are going to be a large number of people who are not going to be celebrating when King Jesus Christ returns. They are going to be wailing. Wailing that is negative. This is talking about non-believers. For believers, we are going to be happy, elated, and joyful because our Savior has arrived and actually returned because King Jesus Christ arrived two thousand years ago.

King Jesus Christ is going to return like He said that He is going to return. This is talking about the fulfillment of the words of King Jesus Christ. This is consistent with the blessings that are given to Abraham and Sarah conditional on them obeying the commandments, having faith, and worshiping, praising, glorifying GOD Almighty above everything. Not everyone is going to rejoice when they see King Jesus Christ on the clouds. This is because of the consequences of sin, death, and evil. We learn that when King Jesus Christ returns, that is the end of that timeline. Then will be the creation of the New Earth.

This is for the creation of something better. We read:

“I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of GOD and the testimony of Jesus.”- Revelation 1: 9

We learn that John, the disciple, was exiled because of his belief. We learn that he has endurance to persevere in his belief in GOD Almighty. Through the witnessing, testimony, and belief in King Jesus Christ, King Jesus Christ has not abandoned the disciple. This is speaking about how King Jesus Christ does not abandon Peter. King Jesus Christ did not abandon Stephen. King Jesus Christ did not abandon Paul. King Jesus Christ did not abandon John. King Jesus Christ is telling him what is going to happen.

We learn that through King Jesus Christ, we have endurance. We learn that the disciple says that he is a brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom. Tribulation means that he has gone through difficulties for his belief. He has been exiled to a specific region because of his belief. We also know that the disciple is part of the Kingdom of Heaven. What does King Jesus Christ say? Blessed are you when they persecute you and utter all kinds of evil falsely on account of my name. For so they persecuted the prophets before you. So that is another blessing.

There is also the patient endurance that are in King Jesus Christ. Where do we get this patient endurance? This is through King Jesus Christ. We by ourselves would have difficulty to make it through tribulation and persecution unless King Jesus Christ is with us. That is why we make it because King Jesus Christ is with us. He was on the island called Patmos in Greece because of his word and testimony of King Jesus Christ.

“I was in the Spirit on the LORD's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet saying, 'Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”- Revelation 1: 10-11

At that time, there were seven churches. Referring to the end times, Scripture may also be referring to the churches in the future. The important part is to not pay attention to that, but to pay attention to what the rebukes are. To pay attention to what GOD Almighty loves, and we are going to pay attention to that.

“Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.”- Revelation 1: 12-13

We learn that this is speaking about a son of man. This is in the singular and not in the plural. This could be talking about a prophet, an angel, or King Jesus Christ. We learn that since Scripture talks in singular it could be a prophet, angel, or King Jesus Christ. We have to learn in greater detail. He was standing in the midst of lampstands.

“The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow.”- Revelation 1: 14

We have been given this description before of an individual who had his hair like white wool. Like snow or something similar.

“His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.”- Revelation 1: 14-15

Majesty, glory, and splendor are seen.

“In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.”- Revelation 1:16

We know that this is King Jesus Christ because from His mouth comes a sharp two-edged sword that is the Word of GOD Almighty. We know that the Word of GOD Almighty is a sharp two-edged sword. We also know that the Word of GOD Almighty became flesh. The face of King Jesus Christ is described, “his face was like the sun shining in full strength.” Like unapproachable light. King Jesus Christ blinds Paul when he appears to Paul. We learn that Paul repents, prays, and fasts and fulfills GOD Almighty's purpose.

We know that this is King Jesus Christ. We learn that the disciple sees King Jesus Christ in a vision. This is the Son of Man and again this is the Revelation of King Jesus Christ.

“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.”- Revelation 1: 17

No one can stand before GOD Almighty unless GOD Almighty decides to let the individual stand before GOD Almighty. Only those that are pure in heart and wash their hands in innocence are allowed to stand by GOD Almighty. This is speaking to those that are good. When someone says that they are going against GOD Almighty, they do not know the reality of GOD Almighty. For believers, we humble ourselves because we know that GOD Almighty is the Creator, but GOD Almighty can also destroy.

We learn that only those that are righteous are able to see GOD Almighty and live similar to Moses. They are able to see GOD Almighty and not go through destruction. We read that Moses is able to persevere because he was seen being righteous by GOD Almighty. We also learn about David. David is very zealous to the faith in GOD Almighty. What we see is that when they see King Jesus Christ what do they do? What does Paul do? He sees unapproachable light and falls down on his feet. Paul asks King Jesus Christ who He is? We learn that King Jesus Christ tells Paul that it is King Jesus Christ who Paul was persecuting.

When the disciple sees King Jesus Christ, he falls down on his feet like dead. That is when he sees the majesty, splendor, and glory. He humbles himself before GOD Almighty.

“But he laid his right hand on me, saying, 'Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one.”- Revelation 1: 17-18

We learn that this is King Jesus Christ because He says not to fear. We know that for believers of King Jesus Christ, there is no fear. There is the fear of GOD Almighty of wanting to accomplish the purpose of GOD Almighty for our lives. We do not want to displease GOD Almighty. King Jesus Christ says fear not. King Jesus Christ says He is the first and the last. Who is the Alpha and the Omega? King Jesus Christ. King Jesus Christ is the living one. King Jesus Christ is crucified and resurrects on the third day. We learn that King Jesus Christ appears to His disciples and apostles, and also that He is taken up to Heaven. We learn that King Jesus Christ is seated at the Right Hand Side of GOD Almighty and is the Everlasting King of Judah.

“I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.”- Revelation 1: 18

King Jesus Christ died in the crucifixion, but is able to resurrect because GOD Almighty gives King Jesus Christ eternal life. King Jesus Christ is alive forever. This is King Jesus Christ. King Jesus Christ has the keys of Death and Hades. This means that King Jesus Christ can decide the fate of individuals in this life and in the next life. Not only in this life, but in the next life. This means that King Jesus Christ can decide what happens to individuals in this life and the next life. This is what King Jesus Christ says in the Gospel, fear not those who can kill the body, but fear GOD Almighty who can destroy both soul and body. GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth can decide for that. This is consistent with Scripture.

“Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.”- Revelation 1: 19-20

King Jesus Christ or an angel of King Jesus Christ is telling the disciple to write what he is seeing and what is taking place. We learn about the mystery of the seven stars and the seven lampstands. We learn that the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. The seven lampstands are the seven churches. This could mean that these were the churches at the time of John or future time churches in the end times. They could also be angels or preachers, or leaders within the churches. They can have different interpretations. I do not know specifically, but I do know that the reproof of the churches is important. We learn that there is no idolatry and no sexual immorality. This is consistent with the Gospel.

This is what the Book of the Prophets tell us. This is also important with the consistency. We learn that what King Jesus Christ tells us in the Book of Revelation is consistent with what GOD Almighty tells us in the Book of the Prophets. GOD Almighty does not want us to sin. This is the first chapter of Revelation. We learn that King Jesus Christ loves us. King Jesus Christ does not abandon us or leave us. GOD Almighty does not abandon Peter. We learn that when Peter has difficulties, we learn that an angel of GOD Almighty releases him. Paul converts to Christianity and has two plots against him, and GOD Almighty is able to deliver him from those difficulties. For John, he is exiled in the island of Patmos and is able to experience the Revelation of GOD Almighty. Peter and Paul also speak to the people and the types of difficulties that will exist at the end times.

This is through the same Spirit of Truth. This is telling us that we do not have to fear. What does King Jesus Christ tell John. Fear not. What does King Jesus Christ tells us in the Gospel? Do not be anxious for anything. What does GOD Almighty tells us in the Book of the Prophets? Do not be in dread. Only GOD Almighty, the LORD of hosts, make GOD Almighty your dread and your fear. But do not be in dread. Do not be anxious for anything. Fear not. What is King Jesus Christ telling us? Do not fear anything.

King Jesus Christ is telling us not to be afraid and this is in the presence of King Jesus Christ. If we are believers and believing in King Jesus Christ and in the essence of having faith in King Jesus Christ, we are like Peter, Paul, and John who are partners in the tribulation, kingdom, and the patient endurance that are in King Jesus Christ. Again, King Jesus Christ sees the tribulation and sees what we are doing for the Kingdom of Heaven. King Jesus Christ is able to see our patient endurance because he is able to be the reason why we can persevere.

We learn that when John sees King Jesus Christ like the prophets, disciples, and apostles, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that King Jesus Christ is LORD and Savior. That is the reality. When he does that, we learn that King Jesus Christ says fear not. King Jesus Christ tells believers not to fear. That is why when we read Revelation, we are not to fear. It is not supposed to cause us fear and dread. It is not supposed to cause us anxiety. Revelation tells us that GOD Almighty is in control of history. Fear not. GOD Almighty has written Genesis to Revelation. Fear not. King Jesus Christ has been crucified and resurrected and has the keys of Death and Hades. Fear not.

What is that telling us? It is the same message that we do not have to fear being Christians because we are only supposed to fear GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. When GOD Almighty sees that we are for GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty says fear not. We learn that when we are in the presence of GOD Almighty, there is the praise. We learn that GOD Almighty allows for righteous individuals to stand up. We read about Moses being allowed to persevere. We learn that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that GOD Almighty is LORD and Savior. The descriptions tell us of the glory, majesty, and dominion of GOD Almighty. This is speaking about the strength, might, wisdom, understanding, and power. We read that His eyes are like a fire and His feet are like burnished bronze refined in a furnace and His voice like the roar of many waters.

We read that the descriptions are consistent with what the prophets are able to see. We read that the voice of GOD Almighty is like the roar of many waters. GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth are the True GOD Almighty. We read that in His right hand, King Jesus Christ held seven stars. From His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword. The two-edged sword is the method that King Jesus Christ is going to defeat and judge evil with. We learn that King Jesus Christ has strength. King Jesus Christ is the Word of GOD Almighty. King Jesus Christ is the Word of GOD Almighty incarnate. This is speaking of King Jesus Christ arriving to earth to save us from our sins and also being with GOD Almighty and the Spirit of Truth since the beginning, in the present, and for eternity. For all eternity King Jesus Christ with GOD Almighty and the Spirit of Truth are the True GOD Almighty.

This tells us that King Jesus Christ took the cross of our shame to give us eternal salvation. The face of King Jesus Christ is spoken of shining like the sun with full strength. This is speaking about the unapproachable light that is produced.

We are to pay attention to the need of repentance of sin and the need to be zealous for our belief in Jesus Christ in order to gain our salvation at the end of the ages

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
