Episode: Revelation Chapter 17
Introduction
Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We talked about the specific chapters of Revelation up to Chapter 16. From Chapter 16 we learn about the judgment of GOD Almighty against the wicked. This is the wrath of GOD Almighty against the wicked that has been established from the beginning of creation. We learn that Cain murders Abel and gets immediate judgment. We learn that Cain does not get blessings and has specific difficulties because of the destruction against his brother. Instead of blessings of peace and the land producing abundance, Cain will not have these things. We learn that Cain is going to be roaming because he cannot have land.
The Difficulties of Cain
We read that GOD Almighty gives the manner to have blessings if there is righteousness and difficulties through wickedness unless the individual repents. We learn that GOD Almighty is in absolute authority of history. GOD Almighty has written history from Genesis to the Book of Revelation. GOD Almighty is in the Highest Throne in the Highest Heavens, and King Jesus Christ has absolute authority. We learn that Cain describes the wicked and murders his own brother out of hate and envy, and we learn that is similar to what Herod has when he wanted to persecute King Jesus Christ when he was only two years of age.
What we learn is that this is the same thing. We know that Abel is righteous. GOD Almighty cares for those that are righteous, the children, elderly, widows, fatherless, the needy, the poor, and the outcasts. GOD Almighty is a just GOD Almighty and a righteous GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty favors those individuals. GOD Almighty gives them the manner to be at peace even despite all the difficulties that are going on in the world. We learn that even through the difficulties that happen in the world, GOD Almighty remains being the True GOD Almighty. If we have GOD Almighty, we have everything that we need.
The Consequences of Sin
We know that from the beginning of creation from the offspring of Adam and Eve, we learn about the consequences of listening to the snake. We learn that Abel is righteous, and Cain hates Abel for being a good example. We read that Cain does what he does based on the temporary lies of sin. This happens because their parents disobeyed GOD Almighty, and obeyed something that is not GOD Almighty. We know that the blood from Abel to the blood of the last Christian who is persecuted in the Book of Revelation, we know that all that righteous blood is awaiting the judgment of GOD Almighty on the wicked. We learn that GOD Almighty is going to judge the wicked.
That is why the wrath is very specific. That is why the plagues are very specific. That is why some of the plagues are described as blood because it is the righteous blood of the prophets and saints. We learn that Abel can be considered a saint. While he did not preach and speak the commandments, we learn that he was obeying GOD Almighty. Abel obeyed GOD Almighty. This is similar to Abraham. We know that the Ten Commandments were not known in the time of Abraham, but we do know that Abraham obeyed GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty counted that as faith. Even though there were no commandments at that time, they obeyed the Word of GOD Almighty.
Abel gave the best of what he had to GOD Almighty. Cain gave GOD Almighty what was blemished and what he did not want. We learn that GOD Almighty favors Abel. Abel was the righteous individual. We know that this story speaks to similar stories from Genesis to Revelation. Those that are righteous and give GOD Almighty the best of their work and worship, praise, and honor GOD Almighty with all their mind, heart, soul, being, strength, might, energy, and who they are is for the glorification of GOD Almighty, they are favored by GOD Almighty. They are blessed. Those are the blessings of GOD Almighty to Abraham and Sarah that extend to King Jesus Christ and the disciples and apostles. We know that GOD Almighty gives great favor to those that are righteous and have faith and zeal in the Word of GOD Almighty.
Only GOD Almighty can give eternal life. Only GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth together being the True GOD Almighty. We have to understand that the wrath of GOD Almighty is the judgment against the wicked. Those that spill innocent blood and think that they can destroy part of creation when GOD Almighty gives life and decides when there is no longer life. GOD Almighty is who decides. We learn that we have to understand that GOD Almighty is seeing everything that is happening at the time of Revelation into eternity. GOD Almighty is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent among other qualities that the human mind cannot understand. We learn that GOD Almighty begins judging those who decide to take the technological modification and forsake GOD Almighty.
The Righteous Conquer Through Faith in King Jesus Christ
We learn that prior to that, the righteous Christians conquer through the blood of King Jesus Christ and the testimony of King Jesus Christ. Those that are righteous are able to defeat idolatry, the technological implant, and the number of sin because they choose to honor GOD Almighty above everything. Those that place their faith in GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth are able to obtain eternal life. They are described as being in the Highest Heavens with the righteous. We learn that there is a time prior to the bowls of the plagues of wrath that the righteous are in heaven and the wicked are on earth. The wicked decide to be a part of the false system that is created at the end time.
The wicked decide to be a part of the system by the worship of the man of sin, believing the false signs and wonders that were meant to deceive them, and taking the technological modification. We learn that there are painful and harmful sores for those who take the technological modification and also are not able to obtain eternal salvation. We learn that the second and third bowls of the plague of the wrath speak of the sea, springs of water, and rivers being turned to blood in retribution for the shedding of innocent blood in the persecution of the righteous. We learn that there are angels that glorify GOD Almighty for the judgment of GOD Almighty on the wicked.
The Fourth Bowl of the Plague of Wrath
The fourth bowl of the plague of wrath allows for the sun to scorch people with fire describing the judgment in the afterlife for sin and rejecting King Jesus Christ. This is because there is that lack of repentance of sin. We know that this is after GOD Almighty sends two prophets to preach repentance. This is speaking to GOD Almighty giving grace, but also allowing for individuals to choose if they want to glorify GOD Almighty or not. We read that there are prophets before King Jesus Christ, then King Jesus Christ is sent, and then the prophets after King Jesus Christ. That speaks to the grace of GOD Almighty.
The fifth angel causes the bowl of the plague of wrath to cause darkness in the kingdom of evil. This is similar to what GOD Almighty does to Egypt when Israel leaves the land. We read that Israel has light. We read that in the time of Moses, Israel has light because they believe in GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We learn that because there is no belief in GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, the Spirit of Truth, and there are no Christians, there is no light.
The sixth angel pours out the sixth bowl of the plague of wrath and the Euphrates river dries up and allows for evil to go to the kings of the east to assemble them through deception and prepare them for the Day of the LORD. We remind ourselves that there is deceitfulness. GOD Almighty is indestructible and has written Genesis to Revelation. There are lies stated to join the army of evil, but there is nothing good from that. We learn that Adam and Eve are deceived by the snake and do not receive good things. We learn that it is the day of the destruction of the wicked.
The seventh angel pours out the seventh bowl of the plague of wrath and there is a voice that says that it is done. There are flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder that speak of the power of GOD Almighty. There is a great earthquake that Jerusalem is split into three parts and the cities of all the nations all fall. We learn that GOD Almighty remembers Babylon the Great and will judge the evil city. We learn that the islands flee away, the mountains fall, and then there are hailstones. We have to remind ourselves that all of this is justice and judgment. While it may not be immediate like GOD Almighty's judgment against Cain for the destruction of Abel, this does not mean that GOD Almighty is not aware of the sin and wickedness that is going to be judged.
GOD Almighty Gives Justice and Judgment
We are reminded as Christian believers that GOD Almighty describes that He is the GOD of Vengeance. This means that we are not supposed to seek vengeance for ourselves. We know that GOD Almighty judges and whatever GOD Almighty can provide for justice and judgment is far greater than what we can provide. For this reason, Christians should allow for GOD Almighty to take the judgment against the wicked, and we are to trust in GOD Almighty. This is what the Book of Revelation tells us that GOD Almighty is a GOD Almighty of Justice. The righteous angels even praise GOD Almighty and state that GOD Almighty is Righteous for the judgment that He gives against the wicked in the Book of Revelation. We go to Chapter 17.
We learn that the evil city is described as a prostitute. We learn that instead of obeying the commandments, we learn that the wicked city is practicing wickedness. Whatever is of evil will go against the things that GOD Almighty has stated. We are going to describe the wicked city and then try to understand what city is the city of evil that is judged by GOD Almighty.
“Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, 'Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.' And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: 'Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth's abominations.' And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.”- Revelation 17: 1-6
We know that one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls of the plagues states to John, the disciple, that the great wicked city was going to be judged. We do not know the name of the angel because we are not supposed to worship angels. We learn that the angels of Revelation state that GOD Almighty is supposed to receive the worship, praise, and glory. We learn that there are powerful angels of GOD Almighty, but we are not given names because GOD Almighty decides for that. This is so that we know that we are supposed to worship, praise, and glorify GOD Almighty and the not the angels. We know that the angel tells John, the disciple, that the wicked city is going to be judged for the wickedness.
The angels says that he is going to show John, the disciple, the judgment of the great wicked city. We know that the city is on seven mountains and there are also bodies of water close to it. We know that the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality with the wicked city. We know that the wicked city has been used to receive monetary funds and gain from the wickedness that is happening. We learn that there is sin associated with the wicked city. The manner that they receive power and wealth is through wickedness. We know that the humans who dwell in the wicked city also are committing evil and are partaking in the evil of the wicked city. In previous specific chapters of Scripture, wine symbolizes judgment and in this description there is revelry and sin. There is debauchery and sin that GOD Almighty is going to judge.
We know that sin is destined for judgment, and the wicked city is destined for judgment. In the Spirit of Truth, John, the disciple, is carried away. We know that from Genesis to Revelation, the Spirit of Truth allows us to understand that everything works together for the good of the Kingdom of Heaven and for the good of righteous Christians. We learn that John, the disciple, is taken to a wilderness and we learn about the wicked woman symbolizing the wicked city, not Jerusalem, it is a wicked city and a large city. The wicked city is sitting on the beast. We learn that the wicked city and the man of sin are both evil and working together.
The Wicked City Represents Chaldea and Wickedness
The woman is adorned with expensive jewelry symbolizing the wealth. We know that the city is described being adorned with purple and scarlet clothing that may symbolize royalty from the past. The great city is important but for evil. We know that the golden cup is filled with sin and everything that GOD Almighty hates. There is sexual immorality and wickedness. We know that it is flaunting it and not even hiding it. Celebrating and cheering for wickedness and sin. We learn that this is wickedness. Just like GOD Almighty has a specific city and location that He loves. The Kingdom of Judah and Jerusalem, and David, and King Jesus Christ. We learn that King Jesus Christ gives importance to Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem where the disciples and apostles had to preach. We learn that evil also has wicked cities that it gives importance to.
We learn that the wicked city has a name written on the forehead, “Mother of prostitutes and of earth's abominations.” We learn that the righteous have the name of GOD Almighty written on their forehead for good, the wicked city has a name written Babylon the great. We know Babylon is Chaldea from what we know from history. We know that while Chaldea was a great nation, it did exhibit idolatry. We do know that they had their own worship system that was not the Christian belief. We know that the Jewish individuals were in Chaldea who were the remnant that are righteous individuals who believed in GOD Almighty. We learn that there were those Jewish individuals that began to learn about those false philosophies of Chaldea and tried to keep practicing idolatry. We learn that they tried to practice half and half worship practicing idolatry and also appearing to worship GOD Almighty.
They began to believe the false worship of that false system of worship. I know there may be other interpretations. We know Chaldea was a great nation that was associated with wickedness. We know that GOD Almighty destroyed that nation through other nations through the Medes. The Medes defeated the Chaldeans. Here we learn that this is a name that describes wickedness. It is a name that is also a placeholder symbolizing wickedness allowing us to know that it is not good. We learn that there is sin for example sexual immorality and abominations. Wickedness and evil that GOD Almighty hates.
We learn that the woman or wicked city is drunk with the blood of the saints. We know that the blood of the saints symbolizes innocent blood that is spilled by the wicked. What city could this be? There are a lot of great cities that have a lot of inhabitants that has wickedness.
“When I saw her, I marveled greatly. But the angel said to me, 'Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her. The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated; they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while. As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction. And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast. These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast. They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is LORD of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”- Revelation 17: 6-14
The angel tells John, the disciple, who the woman and the beast is. We learn that the man of sin is not and rises from the bottomless pit and goes to destruction. We learn that the man of sin is given limited authority and GOD Almighty is seeing what is happening. We learn that the man of sin will have a specific amount of time to accomplish the purpose that GOD Almighty has given it. We learn that the destruction speaks of when King Jesus Christ returns. GOD Almighty again tells us that those that are not written in the book of life from before the foundation of the world will believe in the false signs and wonders leading to idolatry. They will follow the man of sin into idolatry and the taking of the technological modification.
We know that those that are not of GOD Almighty will worship something that is not GOD Almighty. We learn that even before Genesis, GOD Almighty knows those that are His and those that are not. There is no surprise for GOD Almighty. The wicked will receive the wrath of GOD Almighty because they conduct idolatry. They will marvel and be amazed by the false signs and wonders. Those false philosophies that the individuals have already been deceived by. They will marvel because they do not understand GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. They live their lives thinking that they are their own deciders of everything. We know that GOD Almighty is who has all the authority, dominion, sovereignty, and control. The purpose of this is the separation between the righteous and the wicked or the wheat and the weeds.
We know that the righteous are not going to want to know anything about this or be a part of this. The wicked are going to marvel at what is happening. They will marvel at the false signs and wonders, the false philosophies, and all the things of the world. GOD Almighty knows this because their names have not been written in the book of life from before the foundation of the world. We know that the man of sin will have specific time that it will have limited authority. We know that GOD Almighty is in the Highest Throne in the Highest Heavens. King Jesus Christ also has absolute authority to provide for the righteous.
We know that the seven heads of the beast are seven mountains that the woman or wicked city is seated on. They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not arrived and when that individual is there it will remain for a little while. The seven heads represent seven mountains where the woman is seated. There is also that understanding that the wicked city is helped or helps the man of sin. The interpretation of the kings means that in the history of the world there have been nations that have had world power. We learn that this represents the power of the world. We learn that there were at specific times great kings in the time of history including from the time of Chaldea, Persia, Greece, and Rome. We know that the man of sin is described as belonging to the seventh and is the final king from the world powers and goes to destruction. We know that the purpose by GOD Almighty is to cause separation between the righteous and the wicked. This is to allow the distinction between the righteous and the wicked.
We know that there are ten horns. We learn that the ten horns represent ten kings. Those ten kings have not received power, until the man of sin is given authority. We know that the ten king are all going to worship the man of sin and will work under the authority of the man of sin. We learn that the ten kings who are of one mind are there to help the man of sin. We know that they will make war on King Jesus Christ, but King Jesus Christ will defeat them because King Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords and those that are with King Jesus Christ are described being called, chosen, and faithful.
The Sovereignty of GOD Almighty
We know that the ten kings will receive limited authority that GOD Almighty is overseeing for a specific time. We learn that this is for one hour. This is not a literal hour but a representation of a specific time. They are going to work with the man of sin to fight against King Jesus Christ. They are going to be of one mind working together. The purpose of them is to make war. We learn that they are to make war against King Jesus Christ. We learn in Psalm 2 of David that tells us:
“Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His anointed.”- Psalm 2: 1-2
GOD Almighty knows of this and they want to destroy the righteous. We learn that GOD Almighty holds them in derision. Not only Psalm 2, there are other Psalms telling us that GOD Almighty knows this. We know that for GOD Almighty it is not a day of war, but a day of judgment. We learn that the Lamb will conquer them and destroy them. King Jesus Christ is LORD of lords and King of kings. We learn that King Jesus Christ defeated the spiritual foes when He defeated sin, death, and evil in the crucifixion and resurrection. For two thousand years, King Jesus Christ is sitting to the Right Hand Side of the Father awaiting to return in glory to judge. We know that it is up to GOD Almighty to decide when that happens.
King Jesus Christ does not know the time nor the angels of heaven. Only GOD Almighty knows the time. We know that while we do not know the specific time, we know about the signs of the times that tell us from the prophecies of King Jesus Christ, disciples, and apostles that tell us that specific events need to happen first. We learn that some of those events are already happening. We know that there has to be a rebellion against Christianity, there has to be an increase in lies, deceit, and deception, wars and rumors of war, earthquakes, pestilence, and famine in order for there to start the beginning of the end of the ages. We know King Jesus Christ tells us of specific prophecies, but we do not know the specific time. We have to know the signs because King Jesus Christ gave us the signs.
When we begin to see the beginning of these signs, we know that it is the beginning of the end times and the start of the great tribulation. In the past, the signs did not converge to the level that they are converging now. While there were some signs that were happening, not all the signs are happening like it is happening in today's world. This tells us of GOD Almighty's timing. GOD Almighty decides the times. We know that GOD Almighty decides the times and that is why the wicked will have a specific hour that they will rebel against GOD Almighty. We know that King Jesus Christ is going to conquer them when He returns at the time that GOD Almighty decides. GOD Almighty knows this. This is GOD Almighty making history. These are the writings of GOD Almighty.
We know that King Jesus Christ is with the army in heaven, and will return to destroy the wicked for all eternity and that is why it is called judgment. We learn that King Jesus Christ has authority because He is with GOD Almighty and the Spirit of Truth the True GOD Almighty. This talks about GOD Almighty knowing those that are saved from before the creation from before the foundation of the world the righteous having their names written in the book of life. Those who are righteous and those who are wicked have already been determined from before the foundation of the world. This means that GOD Almighty has already decided for everything that is happening in Revelation and everything that will happen even into eternity.
The Righteous Win Through King Jesus Christ
King Jesus Christ calls those that are righteous, called, chosen, and faithful. These individuals are those that are of GOD Almighty. We learn that the righteous conquer through King Jesus Christ. We learn that King Jesus Christ has already conquered. The manner that the righteous conquer is through the testimony of King Jesus Christ and accepting the blood of King Jesus Christ for the atoning of iniquity. As Christian believers, how do we win? Through the blood of the Lamb and the word of His testimony. This is by preaching and believing in GOD Almighty. Not paying attention to the temporary lies and not listening to those false philosophies. We know that those false philosophies are said to be new but they are old philosophies that only want you to hate something. MGTOW hate women. Feminism hate men. Monopoly capitalism hate the poor and middle class. Communism hate the rich and middle class. These false philosophies are only trying to cause hatred and envy and that is not what we were created for.
GOD Almighty is in control and is going to lead us through the Spirit of Truth to persevere even through the difficulties of the beginning of the times of difficulty. We learn that it is about faith. We are not supposed to believe in those repackaged old false philosophies. We know that has already been done and that does not lead to anything good. Those things are cliché. They do not make sense. That is why the Scriptures are important because they preach about steadfast love from GOD Almighty. The important point is to know that King Jesus Christ is sent to defeat, destroy, and to judge. GOD Almighty allows King Jesus Christ to have the absolute authority. We learn that we are made aware of the prophecies that were going to begin to happen at the end of the ages of what we know. We are supposed to understand this so that we are not to be fearful. When we attempt to understand this as literal, it may be difficult to understand.
The Spirit of Truth Allows Us to Understand Revelation
We have to understand that we need to pray to the Spirit of Truth to allow us the manner that we can understand. We learn that there are descriptions that are given in symbols to allow us to understand the meaning of the prophecies. We also have to understand the context of the time, the meaning, and the circumstances. In context, the Book of Revelation makes sense and is a continuation of the prophecies of the Old Testament. The promises that GOD Almighty makes to the people of Israel are consistent with the Book of Revelation because King Jesus Christ is the individuals who fulfills those promises. If individuals attempt to read Revelation without the context of the Scriptures, they are not going to get it.
If individuals are sinning and living without listening to the Word of GOD Almighty, they also are not going to get it. Through sin, individuals are going to think that the false philosophies offer better wisdom than what the Scripture has to offer, but we know that sin is leading individuals astray.
The Wicked City is Destroyed
“And the angel said to me, 'The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages. And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire, for GOD has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of GOD are fulfilled. And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”- Revelation 17: 15-18
The waters represent something. They represent culture and individuals, peoples, multitudes, and nations and languages. That is where the city is denoted. Through wickedness that it means wealth, influence, and all of that is through evil. The ten horns will hate the wicked city. This is the interesting part. We learn that the ten kings that are going to work together with the man of sin are going to hate the wicked city. We know those individuals are going to try to make war against GOD Almighty and against King Jesus Christ. We learn that the wicked kings are going to hate the wicked city. To those that are righteous, we question. What? The wicked individuals are going to want to destroy the wicked city? The wicked city is part of who they are. How can the man of sin and the wicked kings hate the wicked city if the wicked city is wickedness? It is part of that same lifestyle.
We learn in detail that the wicked city is going to be destroyed. We learn that the wicked hate the wicked city. Even though it is part of the same beliefs and philosophies of wickedness. We learn that GOD Almighty has placed this specific purpose. This reminds us that GOD Almighty is in absolute authority, dominion, sovereignty, and control. GOD Almighty is in control through it all. Why do they hate the city? Because GOD Almighty is in absolute authority, dominion, sovereignty, and power. We know that the wicked individuals are going to destroy the wicked city because GOD Almighty has decided for this. This is until the words of GOD Almighty are fulfilled.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
