Episode: Revelation Chapter 12
Introduction
Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. We spoke about Chapter 11 about the two prophets who are sent to serve as grace. This tells us that GOD Almighty gives grace to Israel and Jerusalem because the two prophets preach for a specific amount of days about the need for repentance of sin. This is so that individuals can know that GOD Almighty provides for steadfast filial love and cares for those individuals that choose to repent and believe in GOD Almighty. We know that there may only be wicked individuals left, but maybe there are those that may convert to believe in GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth.
We learn that the two prophets are given the authority to defend themselves. We learn that even if there are individuals who attempt to go against those two righteous prophets, GOD Almighty gives them the manner that they can defend themselves even at the end of the ages of what we know. The two prophets are able to show GOD Almighty's grace. The reason that the two prophets are sent is so that there is that understanding that GOD Almighty was providing for the Word in Scripture of GOD Almighty to be heard even at the end of the ages of what we know. We learn that GOD Almighty is also able to provide judgment on the earth. They are also protected. We learn that they are killed, but are resurrected and called up to heaven. We learn that after the completion of the seven trumpets are sounded, we learn that the mystery of GOD Almighty is revealed and everyone worships GOD Almighty.
We see that the temple in heaven was opened and the ark of the covenant was seen. We see that there are flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, and an earthquake, and heavy hail. We see everything that is happening, and GOD Almighty is reminding us of the steadfast filial love of GOD Almighty for Israel because of the Ten Commandments that were given and that were stored in the ark of the covenant. We learn that there is also judgment that is happening through the flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, and an earthquake, and heavy hail.
Chapter 12 speaks about the things that are not in chronological order. Chapter 12 tells us of the beginning of history. The beginning of the creation. We read about a point about the judgment of the trumpets to be sounded and bowls of wrath. This is the third set of judgments that is wrath for the wickedness. We learn that there are details given that are not in chronological order. We learn about events that may be happening at another time or concurrently that are giving detail. They may give a better picture because of the details that they give. These chapters are not in chronological order. Chapter 12 describes the past. The history of the past. There is the birth of King Jesus Christ and how it affects history. This is a reminder of the details that are not in chronological order. For some chapters, they are in chronological order. We do know that not all the chapters of Revelation are in chronological order. We do know that the last chapters of Revelation are in chronological order.
Those chapters talk about when GOD Almighty decides to destroy, judge, and remove evil, death, and sin and create the New Heavens and the New Earth. GOD Almighty and King Jesus Christ are with the people that are righteous in heaven and in the New Earth and the New Heavens. That is chronological. Chapter 12.
“And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it. She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to GOD and to his throne, and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by GOD, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.”- Revelation 12: 1-6
There is a great sign in heaven. We learn that there is a woman that is clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. We learn that the woman is clothed with creation and is crying out in birth pains. We know that this woman is pregnant and is going to give birth. The woman is in agony because she is going to give birth. We learn that the woman is clothed with creation and given authority. She is clothed with the creation. She is clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. We know that the woman is about to give birth.
We learn that there is the description that there is a red dragon that is able to throw down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. A third of the stars were from heaven. They were thrown down to the earth. When the woman was about to give birth, the dragon attempts to destroy the child but is not able to. We learn that the dragon is trying to pursue the woman to destroy her offspring. We know that the child is King Jesus Christ. We learn that the child is a male child, King Jesus Christ. An individual who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. We get that description of King Jesus Christ through different references in Scripture. This is speaking about King Jesus Christ ruling the nations with a rod of iron that is described as discipline. This is talking about obedience from King Jesus Christ to GOD Almighty and leading through righteousness.
We read that the dragon wanted to destroy King Jesus Christ. Who is the dragon? The adversary, evil. We learn that the dragon sweeps down a third of the stars of heaven meaning the rebellion. We read about the initial rebellion of the created angels that did not stay in their position of authority. We know that the good angels stayed within their position of authority. A third of the wicked angels are thrown down from heaven. We learn that the wicked angels are thrown down from heaven into the earth. That is what this is speaking about. The adversary is removed from heaven, along with a third of the rebellious angels. We learn that a third of them rebelled and were cast far from heaven. This is speaking of GOD Almighty's absolute sovereignty, dominion, power, and control. We learn about the power that GOD Almighty and King Jesus Christ have. We learn that the limited power of the earth is given back to GOD Almighty even though GOD Almighty has always had power, has power, and forever has power for all eternity. This is so that everyone can know that King Jesus Christ is given absolute power. The kingdom of the world will no longer have power.
We learn that evil and the rebellious angels are thrown down from heaven to the earth. When evil sees King Jesus Christ being born, it wants to destroy King Jesus Christ. Evil does not want for King Jesus Christ to accomplish the purpose of GOD Almighty. We learn that the child is going to rule with a rod of iron. What is this talking about? We learn that evil wants to destroy King Jesus Christ and at the time of King Jesus Christ, Herod wants to know about where King Jesus Christ is because the wise kings say that the Messiah is going to be born. We know that king Herod is filled with hate and envy because he had power. We know that GOD Almighty gives Herod power that is limited because GOD Almighty has absolute power. We learn that king Herod becomes envious because there is talk about a Messiah. We learn that king Herod is a governor and the nation is under Roman rule at the time of King Jesus Christ. We learn Herod is envious because individuals are speaking about a Messiah as if it were an actuality. We know that Herod has limited power, is a governor, and does not want to relinquish the power that he has. We learn that Herod asks the wise kings to go and find out where the child is so that he can go and worship the child.
We learn that the wise kings are not described as believers although they see the signs in the heavens and go and inquire about the Scriptures concerning the birth of the Messiah. We learn that the wise kings go to Israel to worship the child. We learn that the wise kings give presents to the child when they were from other regions. This is talking about the power of GOD Almighty. We learn that the wise kings give King Jesus Christ gold, myrrh, and incense. We learn that Herod tells the wise men to tell him where the child is. We learn that the wise kings do not tell Herod because they are aware that Herod wants to cause harm to the child. We learn that they decide to return to their land without telling Herod and protecting the child. We learn that when there is hate and envy from the world, we know that there is usually a spiritual component behind it. When we read Revelation Chapter 12, we know it was not only Herod. It was not only his hate and his envy. We learn that the hate and envy is from the dragon. This is speaking about how evil hates King Jesus Christ because He is the Son of GOD Almighty.
King Jesus Christ has authority and power. Even before King Jesus Christ is born and even when King Jesus Christ is born. King Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD Almighty. This is talking about the authority of King Jesus Christ even before He is born. King Jesus Christ is not even born, and we know that there are already plots against King Jesus Christ. That is what we see when Herod plots against King Jesus Christ. We learn that Joseph has a dream and they have to leave to protect themselves. They go to the wilderness and they flee. We learn that they are in safety. What happens in the story of King Jesus Christ? We learn that the family of King Jesus Christ has to flee Israel to receive safety because of the fear of Herod. We learn that Herod kills all the children that are under two years of age for the envy. We learn that he thinks that the Messiah is going to be born. We know that in the hate and envy of Herod, we see the power of King Jesus Christ. We learn about this from the messengers, shepherds, and wise kings that worship King Jesus Christ being a baby. We see that there is the reminder of GOD Almighty's power and control. We learn that king Herod's envy was not only his envy but there was a spiritual component. We learn that king Herod decides to destroy the children under two years of age.
We learn that Herod is affected because of this. We learn that prior to passing away, Herod goes through health issues. This was because he was evil. While there was the power, while he restored the second temple, and was constructing buildings for society, he was persecuting children who were not even two years of age and the Messiah. GOD Almighty decides. Herod does not make it. Those are those false promises that evil makes. Evil does not look to help people. We learn that it attempts to lead people to destruction. That is what we learn in Chapter 12. That is consistent with creation. GOD Almighty created angels so that they can serve GOD Almighty. We learn that evil rebels. A third of the angels rebel and they are cast far from heaven. They are not in the Highest Heavens. They are thrown down. What happens? We learn that King Jesus Christ on His own decision, decides to go to earth and fulfill the purpose of GOD Almighty. This is telling us of the mystery of GOD Almighty. This is reminding us of the beginning of creation. This is reminding us of King Jesus Christ. This is reminding us of the obedience to GOD Almighty by the righteous and the disobedience by the wicked. There are two contrasting examples. This is reminding us of why we were created.
While the previous chapter tells us that all the power is of GOD Almighty and King Jesus Christ, we are reminded of the examples of obedience and disobedience. Those that are righteous receive blessing, favor, abundance, and eternal life from GOD Almighty, and those that are wicked are destroyed, do not receive eternal life, and their own evil descends upon their own heads. They do not have the presence of GOD Almighty. They have the absence of GOD Almighty. The absence of GOD Almighty is the worst thing that anyone can go through. We learn that evil hates King Jesus Christ because King Jesus Christ is able to obey GOD Almighty. That is why Herod is angry. That is why Herod wants to destroy the Messiah, King Jesus Christ. King Jesus Christ is protected.
“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world- he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, 'Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our GOD and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our GOD. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!'”- Revelation 12: 7- 12
The ability for us to know what happened during the rebellion? There is the recounting of the story of how evil is thrown down. We know that King Jesus Christ is a baby in the first part of the chapter and we know that King Jesus Christ conquers by the death on the cross and the resurrection. We know that those that are righteous are also able to persevere and conquer through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Those that are Christians have conquered through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. We know that this is not chronological, but this is telling us about the two paths of individuals. Those that choose to obey GOD Almighty and those that choose not to obey GOD Almighty. We learn that evil is thrown down from heaven because of the disobedience to GOD Almighty. We learn that Adam and Eve are removed from paradise because of their disobedience to GOD Almighty. We know that those that are righteous are able to obtain eternal salvation. We also know that there is envy and hatred from those that are evil. We learn that the salvation and the power is of GOD Almighty. We know King Jesus Christ has authority.
“And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood. But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of GOD and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.”- Revelation 12: 13-17

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
