Episode: Revelation Chapter 16
Introduction
Good afternoon! My name is Eduardo. This is Resurrection Radio Podcast. I am your presenter. The previous episode we spoke of Chapter 15 of Revelation. We learn that there are righteous Christians who are going to conquer based on their belief in King Jesus Christ and faith in King Jesus Christ. As long as we have faith in King Jesus Christ, we are going to be able to survive and gain eternal life. Not only survive but thrive into the Renovated New Earth and the New Heavens. We are going to praise GOD Almighty for all eternity. We read about individuals being in heaven having harps in their hands. This is speaking of righteous individuals being in heaven.
The Bowls of the Plagues of Wrath
We also read about the beginning of the descriptions of the bowls of the plagues of the wrath of GOD Almighty. This is judgment against wickedness in humanity, and this is towards the last part of the great tribulation. This is after the previous two sets of seven judgments are given. We learn in the next chapter of what those plagues of wrath are going to be for those individuals that are left on earth who are wicked. We learn that Christian believers are not destined for wrath and have been raptured to heaven, persecuted to eternal life, or gathered by King Jesus Christ on Mount Zion. We learn that in the second set of judgments, wicked individuals did not choose to repent of their sin. We learn that at the time of the plagues of wrath, there are only wicked individuals left on earth.
We learn that there are wicked individuals and that is why there are those judgments.
“Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, 'Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of GOD.' So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea. The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say,
'Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!' And I heard the altar saying, 'Yes, LORD GOD the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!'”- Revelation 16: 1-7
There is a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels to pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of GOD. Based on this, we learn that the previous chapter told us that there were righteous Christians who had conquered and were in heaven. This may mean that at this time there are no Christians on earth. Only the wicked are left on earth. The wicked are destined for wrath and destruction.
The First Bowl of the Plagues of Wrath Speaks of Harmful and Painful Sores
The first bowl is poured out from the first angel. When he pours out the bowl, there is a consequence to the technological modification. Those that decide to practice idolatry and take the technological modification begin to have difficulties with the technological modification. We learn that the image of the man of sin is even going to have movement and speak so that individuals would worship the image. This is through false wonders and the intention is not good for individuals to practice idolatry. Individuals who take the technological modification are going to have harmful and painful sores. This speaks of the harm that the technological modification will have on them. Those that choose the technological modification are not choosing GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, or the Spirit of Truth. Those that choose wickedness, practice idolatry, and receive the technological modification are going to receive harmful and painful sores. This is the first bowl of the plague of wrath.
Although they made it necessary to get the technological modification to be a part of the economy, it is not going to be for a long time. They start developing health problems that are described as harmful and painful sores. The wickedness is sin and leads to difficulties. Those harmful painful sores are because of the technological modification. The reason is because they are practicing idolatry. We learn in the Books of Moses that GOD Almighty was speaking to the nation of Israel that if they partook in idolatry they would have health difficulties and similar difficulties of rashes and sores that are described in Revelation.
The Second Bowl of the Plagues of Wrath Speaks of the Sea Turning Into Blood
There is a second angel that pours out the second bowl of the plagues of wrath on the sea. The sea becomes blood. We know that every living thing in the sea dies. We read that previously it was only a third of the sea. Now it may mean that it is all the sea becomes blood and the living creatures in the sea died. All the sea is affected. There is no water and food from the sea.
The Third Bowl of the Plagues of Wrath Speaks of the Rivers and Springs of Water
The third angel poured out his bowl into the springs of water and they became blood. The springs of waters and rivers become blood. This is because the wicked persecuted the righteous and spilled innocent blood. This speaks about the judgment of GOD Almighty. The angel praises GOD Almighty for being just. We know that an angel of GOD Almighty who is a servant of GOD Almighty is able to praise GOD Almighty and say that He is just. We learn that there is judgment for the blood of the saints and prophets. This is the reason why the waters turn to blood. This speaks about the own evil of evil returns back to evil. This speaks about how GOD Almighty judges. We learn that because they decided to attack the righteous, they themselves receive similar judgment. There is a voice from the altar saying that GOD Almighty is true and just.
The Fourth Bowl of the Plagues of Wrath Speaks of the Sun Scorching With Heat
The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun. They were scorched by the fierce heat of the sun. They did not repent and give GOD Almighty the glory. The fourth angel pours out the fourth bowl on the sun, and the sun scorches the people with fire. There is fierce heat that is described as fire. We learn that instead of the people repenting, or changing from lifestyle of sin they do not care. Instead they curse the name of GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty has power over the plagues. King Jesus Christ has absolute authority. The wicked do not repent and give GOD Almighty the glory. Even when they are seeing everything, they do not care. This shows us that GOD Almighty has power over the creation.
GOD Almighty created the sea, rivers, springs of water, the sun, the moon, and the stars, and He can use them as He decides. The creation can also be used as methods of judgment. GOD Almighty can destroy the old earth and the old heavens. GOD Almighty can create the Renovated New Earth and the New Heavens. GOD Almighty is also Righteous. We learn that the grace that GOD Almighty gives is with a purpose. We learn that the grace of GOD Almighty is so great that once that grace ends then there is the judgment. We learn that even when there is judgment, the wicked individuals choose to not repent. Even when the wicked see the consequence of their actions, they are still not repenting.
The Fifth Bowl of the Plague of Wrath Speaks of Darkness in the Kingdom of Evil
The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. We know that there is going to be darkness in the land of the kingdom of evil. People gnawed their tongues because of the anguish that they are going through. We read that this judgment relates to the first bowl of the plague of wrath about the pains and sores that happen with the technological modification. This speaks of judgment of GOD Almighty to take health from individuals like we read about the creation being affected. This allows us to see that GOD Almighty is in control. GOD Almighty is in the Highest Throne in the Highest Heavens, and King Jesus Christ has absolute authority. The Spirit of Truth guides us.
The Sixth Bowl of the Plague of the Wrath Speaks of the River Euphrates
We learn that even through all this wrath, the enemy and the enemy's army are preparing themselves to fight against King Jesus Christ and the righteous. We read that the creation is being affected by the wrath of GOD Almighty because of wickedness and sin. Sin is able to affect creation. We learn that when the sixth angel pours out the bowl of the plague of the wrath on the river Euphrates we learn that the water dries up. We learn that another source of water is no longer there, but we know that this is with the intention for the enemy's army to call for the kings from the east. They are going to prepare for the battle against King Jesus Christ. We know it is not a battle because GOD Almighty has already defeated all His enemies and this is called the Day of GOD the Almighty.
“The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of GOD who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory. The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish and cursed the GOD of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds. The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of GOD the Almighty. ('Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!') And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.”- Revelation 16: 8-16
The Seventh Bowl of the Plagues of Wrath Leads to the Great Earthquake
In the seventh bowl the seventh angel pours the bowl into the air and there is a loud voice out of the temple. We learn that from the previous judgments from the two prophets, there is an earthquake that happens that causes a tenth of the city to fall and destroys seven thousand people. We learn that there is another earthquake that causes the city of Jerusalem to be split into three parts and all the cities of the nations fall. The cities of the nations fall means complete destruction of the world. Even the great city is split into three parts but is withheld. GOD Almighty decides. For the nations, the cities of the nations fall. Total destruction from the earthquake. GOD Almighty judges. We learn that the nations fall.
We learn that GOD Almighty remembers the wicked city. We learn that the wicked city is composed of wicked individuals and leads people to wickedness. Out of all the cities of the nations, we learn that there is a city that has greater wickedness from all the nations. We learn that the city is called Babylon the Great. We learn that it is denoted as sexual immorality. There is also the question of what city is Babylon the Great. There are two theories based on what the cities are. We are given a description of the city so we can try to understand that later. We learn that it is a great city and a specific city. It is a major city. While the great city is Jerusalem, we learn that there are other cities of the nations that fall. We learn that Jerusalem is split into three parts, the cities of the nations fall, and GOD Almighty remembers Babylon the Great.
Babylon the Wicked City is Described
We learn that Babylon the Great is that city outside of Israel. This is not in Israel. It is a city outside of Israel that is in the nations that has allowed individuals to prosper through wickedness. The city has tormented the righteous and caused evil against those who are good. The city has also spread evil and attempted to show individuals the path of evil. That is why this specific city is hated so much by GOD Almighty. We learn that there is going to be great judgment against that city. There is a whole chapter talking about this in Revelation Chapter 17. We learn that the description used is a prostitute, but it is a city. To make her drink the wine of the fury of his wrath.
We learn that the city is an example of wickedness but it is a city. Jerusalem is a city described as righteous, and there have been difficulties concerning that. We know that Babylon the Great is the great city of evil. We know that city is wicked. We know that city is going to go through difficulties. This is described like the wicked cities in the times of Lot where there was great wickedness, and they were judged. We learn that GOD Almighty is going to judge the wicked city and all the wicked cities of the nations. This is consistent with what GOD Almighty has done in the past.
The Islands and Mountains No Longer Exist and There is Hail
We learn that there is a voice that says it is done. Meaning that there is great devastation on the earth because of the earthquake. So great was that earthquake that the islands flee away. There are no longer any islands. No mountains were to be found. We learn that the lofty mountains are flattened. There is no longer mountains. GOD Almighty is destroying creation not because He hates humanity or because He hates creation, He meant all of this for good. Now GOD Almighty is judging in the specific chapters of Revelation. GOD Almighty knows of the evil of the wicked inhabitants, that only the wicked are left. This is judgment against the wicked and there is no longer creation. The wicked are also not only destroying themselves but are destroying creation through their wicked acts and sins. This is judgment for all the wickedness that they have done throughout the time that they have done wickedness.
We learn that the islands flee away, no mountains are found, and the cities are destroyed. We learn that there are hailstones. Each hailstone is about a hundred pounds each. If a small hailstone can cause damage, can you image a large hailstone. There are all kinds of destruction happening. The earthquake that devastates the cities, no islands, no mountains, and the hailstones. Instead of renouncing sin, they keep speaking evil against GOD Almighty. We learn that all of this speaks of the justice and judgment of GOD Almighty. This does not mean the previous judgments stopped. There are new judgments that are happening against the wicked in addition to the difficulties from the previous judgments. GOD Almighty is in absolute sovereignty, dominion, authority, and control. King Jesus Christ has absolute authority.
“The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, 'It is done!' And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and GOD remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed GOD for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.”- Revelation 16: 17-21

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in the Book of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
