Elijah Confronts Ahab's Idolatry
Positive Christianity Series Episode #156
We learn in the story of Elijah about how GOD Almighty tells Elijah to speak to Ahab. We learn that Ahab and Jezebel had been persecuting righteous prophets, and yet Elijah does not fear and goes to speak to Ahab. Elijah chooses to obey GOD Almighty and goes to Obadiah so that Obadiah could tell Ahab that Elijah wanted to speak to him. GOD Almighty tells Elijah to tell Ahab to repent of sin. We learn that Elijah has courage and accomplishes the purpose of GOD Almighty reproving the sin and idol worship of Ahab.
"After many days the word of the LORD came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, 'Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth. So Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. Now the famine was severe in Samaria.'"- 1 Kings 18: 1-2
We learn that Obadiah had hidden righteous prophets in caves and helped them persevere feeding them bread and water. We learn that Elijah goes to Obadiah so that he could tell Ahab that Elijah wanted to speak to him. We learn that Obadiah questions Elijah because Ahab and Jezebel had persecuted righteous prophets and also were looking for Elijah. We learn that even amidst the difficulties, Elijah decides to obey GOD Almighty and be courageous speaking to Ahab. We learn that even amidst the times of difficulty, Elijah does not doubt GOD Almighty. We learn that Elijah has no fear and is able to persevere with boldness and fidelity to GOD Almighty. We learn that even amidst persecution, hate, and envy, Elijah perseveres worshiping GOD Almighty.
"Has it not been told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the LORD, how I hid a hundred men of the LORD's prophets by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water? And now you say, 'Go, tell your lord, 'Behold, Elijah is here,' and he will kill me.' And Elijah said, 'As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.' So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him. And Ahab went to meet Elijah.'"- 1 Kings 18: 13-16
We learn that Elijah speaks to Ahab and confronts Ahab's idolatry. We learn that there were difficulties in the land of Israel because of idol worship that was introduced by Ahab and Jezebel in the times of Elijah. We learn that there was a severe drought for 3.5 years that led to famine because of the practice of sin and idol worship. We learn that Elijah reproves idol worship and sin. When Elijah speaks to Ahab, we learn that Ahab projects his iniquity onto Elijah saying that Elijah was a troubler of Israel. We learn that this was a blatant lie because the idol worship of Ahab and persecution of righteous prophets led to times of drought and famine. Ahab did not want to take responsibility for his idol worship. Elijah tells Ahab that disobeying the commandments of GOD Almighty given to Moses on Mount Sinai and practicing idol worship had caused difficulties to Israel.
"When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, 'Is it you, you troubler of Israel?' And he answered, 'I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father's house, because you have abandoned the commandments of the LORD and followed the Baals. Now therefore send and gather all Israel to me at Mount Carmel, and the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table. So Ahab sent to all the people of Israel and gathered the prophets together at Mount Carmel. And Elijah came to all the people and said, 'How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the LORD is GOD, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.'"- 1 Kings 18: 17-21
Elijah tells the people of Israel to choose who they wanted to worship. To choose if they were going to worship GOD Almighty or idols. We learn that Elijah is able to make a marvellous sign to show who the true GOD of gods is. GOD Almighty helps Elijah despite the persecution and is able to make fire fall from the skies. We learn that Elijah is able to prove that GOD Almighty is the true GOD of gods while the false prophets could not replicate the sign of Elijah. Elijah is able to destroy the false prophets after the people of Israel understand that GOD Almighty is the true GOD of gods. We learn that Elijah destroys the false prophets because they had persecuted righteous prophets. We learn that GOD Almighty is able to judge wickedness. We learn that even when there was persecution happening against the righteous, Elijah does not fear and is valiant being able to speak to Ahab and make fire fall from the skies. We also see that GOD Almighty is able to guard the righteous amidst difficulties, persecution, or tribulation. Elijah helps us understand that we can persevere being bold and courageous for the worship of GOD Almighty reproving sin and idol worship.

If Spotify links do not work, the GreatnessWithinUs.Life site has older articles with audio. Not sure if Spotify links do not work based on envy or human error. Most likely envy due to the times prior to the great tribulation and speaking truth, filial love, logic, and repentance of sin. I am going to keep preaching and having gratitude for not practicing idol worship, not being covid "vaccinated" (not even once), and not having to tell temporary lies. I am able to persevere with gratitude and true joy amidst living in not the best of times. Hallelu JAH!

I keep persevering and having gratitude amidst the times that we are living in that are not the best of times. While the false prophets have attempted to prevent the Spotify audio links from working among so many other attempts to discourage including freezing or preventing my debit card from working since about the time the covid “vaccines” started being implemented, preventing me from cashing in cashier checks at the local store, being unable to withdraw funds from 401k (no answer from phone line workers), false prophets making random noises during the day including yelling non-sense, getting on the apartment roof to scratch the roof, and knock at random intervals, preventing the ability to work, preventing the ability to return back to school to get a Master's degree and keep on receiving an education, preventing access to Wordpress, creating app pop-up messages to prevent me from writing, closing apps multiple times, cyber attacking a laptop and preventing me from logging in, changing the voltage of the electricity to cause a desktop computer to malfunction, and overall attempting to intimidate, cause envy, and anger, I am able to persevere knowing that we await the return of King Jesus Christ. Even amidst all this, I am going to keep preaching knowing that there is encouragement amidst the times that we live in.These are definitely not the best of times knowing that there is envy and cowardice from the false prophets who definitely do not like individuals to prosper and improve in the worship of GOD Almighty consistent with Scripture. Even amidst the attempts to discourage, I have gratitude that I am not covid “vaccinated” (not even once), am able to exercise everyday minimum thirty minutes a day trusting in my immune system that GOD Almighty created and in GOD Almighty, and can keep preaching and writing amidst the not so good times that we live in. I have gratitude to GOD Almighty for allowing me to persevere even amidst attempts by envy to discourage and demotivate knowing that I do not place my worth in temporary material resources and false “relationships”.Instead I choose to worship King Jesus Christ, the Eternal King of Kings. I am going to keep preaching and keep writing for the worship of GOD Almighty knowing that there are books being written in heaven concerning the good and bad that each individual has done. We must persevere obeying the commandments and trusting in GOD Almighty.

The purpose of this blog is the glorification of GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth. We are reminded in theBook of Revelation of the need to persist through faith in the end times of what we know. We are to have belief in the Scriptures. We are to have faith in King Jesus Christ who died on the cross and resurrected on the third day to give us eternal life and who provides the Spirit of Truth. We are able to glorify GOD Almighty above everything in this world. We are reminded in Revelation to not be a part of idolatry and not to take the technological modification.
